We experienced more desyncs in a game last night. We had played a game several nights ago with pirates turned off and did not seem to have any problems. When we turned them on last night, we had problems (about 9 or 10 minutes into the game). This may just be a coincidence, but I thought it was interesting that the desync happened after, I believe, the first pirate raid. We tried again with pirates. Same thing (although I don't know if it was 9 or 10 minutes again). We can still chat with one another, but one of us would see an enemy fleet in a well while the other players would not. One of us would see a different bounty amount or a loss of planetary control that the others did not see.
I forgot to make the necessary changes to rebellion.user.setting, but we'll do that for next time. However, we saved the first game (where it happened 9 or 10 minutes in) - the person who got desync'd and one of the other two who didn't. The problem is, we saved them both to the cloud. I'm not sure if we can send those files to Ironclad. Is there a way to pull them off Steam for e-mailing? The person who got desync'd also saved it locally, but if Ironclad wants both saves, that might be difficult.
Them damn pirates!
Interesting. Thanks for attempting to see what is causing the issue instead of whining. I think I will get some groups together and see if this consistent.
I'm about to get a game together for this too, and see if pirates affect my game as well.
