From what I've seen so far, this thing feels really weak. Its main skill, the boarding party, costs a lot of AM and has a long cooldown. I often found that after jumping around, the neutrals I was fighting would often be dead by the time the cap got enough AM to use the ability again. This is rather problematic considering all its other abilities hinge on the boarding pods to be effective. Stealing one or two ships a battle is hardly game changing compared to most other cap ships primary skills.
Some suggestions for patches:
-Decrease boarding party AM cost and reduce cooldown.
-Increase cap AM regen a bit.
-Salvage ability is weaksauce unless it's max level. Depends far too heavily of having an entire fleet of boarded ships with it. Increase health recovery for non-boarded ship to at least 1.5-2% per level. Don't want it to be invulnerable, but right now it's really not worth skilling.
The only thing that should be improved on the Boarding Party ability is that it only targets one ship at a time. Have it increase like this and it should be more valuable:
Level 1: Max targets = 2
Level 2: Max targets = 4
Level 3: Max targets = 6
Level 4: Max targets = 8
8 ships at a single ability use wouldn't be overpowered since by the time you got the ability on level 4, the enemies you face have probably got large fleets and several ways to repair the hulls of their ships to counter this ability.

Either way it sure needs something...
I don't use it because it's ugly. o__o
Does not fit the rest of the TEC theme, methinks.
Same here
I think if they gave it a bridge structure like the Marza's it would be fine. I think its supposed to look distinct from the other ships as its a marine not a navy vessel.
Yeah it looks like a friggin cargo hauler. Considering its a new ship it should be designed for war, like the Kol, and look the part...
+1 here.
Hoping for a redesign. Looks like a mobile trade port based off of a piece of paper than a warship. All fear the surfboard!!
Though it feels a bit underwhelming, I really like the design. I think it fits in with the Lore of the game, which states that most of the TEC capital ships are repurposed massive civilian ships. The Corsev looks like some sort of giant resource carrier to me.
I would like to see an increase in the amount of time the Boarding Parties were effective in addition to Teun's suggestions. A bridge of sorts would be nice as well. The tabs on the front look very weird.
Those random brown storage boxes on the sides of it's hull seem outta place. Art/animation needs some work.
Teun, its been what 25 years in game? I think the TEC should have moved beyond repurposing civilian ships for their military. The new capital ship should be like the Kol; designed for war.
Truth, they conjured up huge starbases and titans....they can't conjure up a purely military capital ship not retrofitted from a freighter of some sort...
I get the lore being repurposed civilian ships for tec, but they already had the KOL out by the first game. I'm not sure on exact lore timeline as to how long the war has been going since vanilla but I would think they would want to keep the R&D division going to make another real battleship.... Not keep repurposing ship after ship.
Yeah, the timeframe where you can capture a ship is definitely too limited. Lower damage per second, increase duration is an easy fix there. Firing multiple pods sounds pretty good to me as well.
I'll second (or third or fourth or whatever) a graphics tweak. A few more doodads on the ship would make it a bit more eye-pleasing. At the moment it really does look like a surfboard...
You could beef up the ability to affect all enemy ships within a limited range to counter the ability being so expensive, but it MIGHT end up leading to another Missile Barrage crisis, if you know what I mean.
The range would increase as the lvl of the ability was amped up as well - the ship gaining experience = the ship being able to project boarding parties further, but IMO people will try to nerf this by setting a max ship cap.
Idk, just my thoughts. I dont even own Rebellion yet.
Xer0 \^/
you can't carry much cargo on (or in) a paper thin ship...
But i do agree that an addition of a bridge (maybe a bridge at the front of the ship? it would be different than the rest of the tec capitals) would help the design
How about an ability that does semi permanent damage to a titan or capital ship? (for example reduce speed or permanently reduce the total hull or shield levels) until it is repaired at the titan foundry/shipyard or by a repair ship? (improving the usefulness of the corsev and the robotics cruiser at the same time?)
I dislike this idea as it forces a single role-type onto the capital ship. Right or wrong I would rather see Titans become easier to take down with a balanced fleet before dedicating abilities directly to Titans.
It is kind of flat.
And a little disappointed that both Loyalists and Rebels have the same new capital.
Personally, I think it looks like a stick of RAM. I do find it a bit odd how all of its abilities are built around one thing: Boarding Crew. They work without it, but at much lower efficiency. Also, does anyone know how well the ship AI handles the autocast on Demolition Crew? I'm kind of afraid that the Corsev will start blowing up my ships left and right unless I turn off the autocast, and I don't want to need to constantly monitor every ship's HP to see when to cast it...
What are the stats and abilities on the Corsev? So far I know of Boarding Party, Demolition Crew, and Salvage by the looks of what has been said in this thread.
The design has kind of grown on me I have to admit.
