I am importing Hiigaran and Vaygr Ships into Sins of the Creator and need some info on
Please help a m0dder out. This is a huge project.

Hiigaran would fit best as TEC were as the Vaygr would be a more closely match with the Vasari. As for Weapons pretty much everything from laser and railguns to missles and torpedio's I'll have to get back to you about the lore. Used to be some wedsites that had good info on the lore. Homeworld and homeworld II are some of my favorite games. Thankyou for createing and Alsome and huge mod.

I am not sure how close to Homeworld I can make this. Take the AttackBomber scene above. If that small white area on the front is the pilot area than this ship is not a Sins Strikecraft as it is bigger than most Sins frigates. I might retexture to make it more the size of a single seat fighter/bomber.

Higaran use more Railguns, Pulsars, and Ion Cannons. Think the Torpedo frigate, and Destroyer are the only Higgy ships that use missiles. While the Vayger ships use less guns, and more missile attacks. Fighters, and Bombers are about the same for both sides. Vayger use a "lance fighter" which is a laser armed ship, and a laser corvette. Higgys got the gunship and pulsar vette.
BOTH factions would fit TEC. Since the differences in tech between the two factions are minimal. Vayger can only fit certain types of build mods on its carriers while the higgys can build anything up to a frigate with its carriers.
In Homeworld 1 the Kushan, and the Taidan were virtually identical, and almost evenly matched one for one. Each side had only one or 2 units that were "unique" to the faction.

Scale in HW is kinda messed up. The original Kushan MS was supposed to be like 5km from top to bottom, but the Pride of Higara is like 1/2 the size of the original mothership. Yet it pumps out ships twice the size of a Kushan carrier. Use your best judgement as far as scale goes.
No problem with the Karma. Just glad to see someone trying to bring all the sci-fi races into one mod.

Well, I redone the texture so the ship is more of a Sins strikecraft but I will keep both scenes incase a Homeworld AttackBomber is supposed to be a frigate.
Not given up yet but it might go farther if all the work I did on the sound, music, bugs, and UI was actually credited. I cant see spending all that time modding for your team when nobody can take the time to give me credit.
I am doing the UI for the Star Trek races also in my m0d so when I get to it I will prioritize what you guys need finished.

The Attack Bomber is just your average strike craft bomber to my knowledge. I can help with the lore aspect, because I am a major contributor on the Homeworld Wiki, among other wikis, and well versed on the universe in general.

Yo Fist0, if you can do a name mod for the ships, that will epic. Anyway I posted this on the Kol flipped thread. I am actually going to see if this game is available just so to play this mod, and now you doing one for Sins, that's pretty bad ass dude. Can't wait to see what you put out when it is ready. Don't get your hopes up. There certainly won't be an in game way to do that, unless IC lets us modify the source code eventually.
I would love that custom names but Sins would require a separate -cl texture for every ship named and a UI to imprint the texture. For now contributors will be able to suggest standard names for the ship class like KOL on the texture. Like if Zeta writes me some lore for Homeworld with SotC I will name a capital ship Zeta 1127
I still need to work on the tangents. I am new to them and will need some experimenting. For now that attack bomber looks sweet in-game.
EDIT: I think I will post that Battlecruser video on the Vaygr page next time it is updated.

I will see what I can do, but I am unable to play Sins at the moment, probably due to the video card switch, so I could play Battlefield 2, that I did.
I also know quite a bit about Star Wars and several other of the SotC races too, so I should be able to contribute something.
It is a shame that making Motherships and Carriers construct frigates and other larger ships, like they can in the Homeworld games, is very difficult if not impossible. Now, on the other hand, the Shipyard, from Homeworld 2, might be a good choice for one of or maybe even both of the ship factories.
I have a theory on that, it might work OK .
Just found my old HW2 disc and after a .Big pain in the ass with Relics .BIG files I have scooped the OST and voices.
My room is rumbling madly with the battle tracks now. Absolutely awesome soundtrack.

Sweet!! I am really looking forward to this mod. I like the Idea of the attack bomber as the strike bomber. I always thought that homeworld ships were some of best looking.
You wouldn't happen to have a link to that extractor that you used? I'm also having a nice big pain in the ass trying to get those opened up.

I need some lore written for how all the races meet, interact and current relationships. Maybe even a rough map of who is where in the VirtuVerse.
The lore problem I see being the biggest is all the earth civs (federation, EA, Stargete)
How the hell do you write a story around that conundrum?

The original Homeworld music is good stuff too, some of my favorite stuff, especially the Adagio for Strings and the three battle musics, and I happen to have the GotY edition that came with the soundtrack!
