Title sums it up, there's little else to say.
You need never fight a hard battle nowadays, just an 'even' one.
I prefer playing with balanced teams since the closer the match is, the more fun it is. I don't understand why some pros would want to stack teams because not only is it an empty win, but it's bad for the community. Not every player out there saves replays of good players they lost against so they can learn. The games I learned most from the past month of feverish playing was having pros on my team telling me when to back off, telling me to get currency and tower health 1, telling me not to buy priests early, telling me to hold the fort flag, and so on. I find it really hard to believe that I would have made any progress if I was always playing against better players instead of with them.
@matchboxmatt
I agree 100% the biggest problem is many pro's are just asses who don't do anything to tell people what they should be doing so they don't learn, if you want them to learn say something else stuff a sock in it

Demigod is mostly about HP stacking, and selecting the right demigod counters. I would force all newbies to pick erebus and play just erebus until they got good, then UB, then OAK, then ROOK. Rook is a counter to UB provided you have the right team-demigod mates, it always depends on what the matchup is demigod is mostly about picking the right demigods vs what your opponents team has chosen, you can predict the outcomes of games a good percent of the time by just looking at who chose what demigods to have on their team vs the other team.
If I had my way I would get rid of or nerf the egregious +hp favor items, or restrict some favor items (like blood of the fallen) from certain demigods having them (UB, Erebus and just maybe oak). Demigod is mostly about memorizing patterns and taking advantage of gaps in your teams perception (i.e. if you're fighting by enemy locked flags, and the other team realizes you are low on health someone will teleport in and gank, if you aren't aware of how dangerous the situation is you're going to do stupid shit)
Developing an awareness of what is dangerous to do (fighting by locked flags and tp ganking) take a while to build up until you automatically start predict what is the next step of what you should be doing. You build up flow in demigod by realizing, predicting what the other team is doing and by knowing when to pull back/regroup and stick together. It's about knowing what you can get away with when you predict correctly the whereabouts of the demigods on the map.
ehhhhh.... i would say that is mid lvl, high lvl focuses more on overall map awareness(push no push), stuns, ganks, and item use
I think that focusing solely on top tier characters is a really bad idea, because it promotes single-dimensional gameplay. I have a really fun time playing UB with a Sedna to back me up or something to that effect, but the most rewarding games are ones where I have a supposedly weak team where I'm a TB and I'm accompanied by a Reg, and walk out dominating.
I think the tighter rope and the less room for error promotes players to learn how to use their characters and make their own decisions, not just blindly follow someone else's build to the T. Sure, there's things like favor items and equipment that are clearly better than others, but I especially enjoyed learning the game with weaker characters like QoT and TB because I find myself thinking more, regardless if I win.
"I think that focusing solely on top tier characters is a really bad idea, because it promotes single-dimensional gameplay."
All the gameplay is based on the underlying mathematics, if the math is off statistically no matter what you do there will always be an objective trend towards loss rather then wins. You cannot defeat the laws of mathematics.

To couter erebus by a reg we need to play erebus some time then to play reg. If we play reg first we ust feed all of games, when we play erebus we are useless some first games like reg but feed less.

Agreed. If i could rebalance all items, i cut all +hp bonuses by a half leaving them the same cost
" reply="9" id="2504653"]reg is severely under-rated imo
Reason he is un-rated is cause 90% of noobs play him
I remember first time I played I also didnt realise the strength of health stacking but thats cause I didnt realise you could buy more than a certain item (gloves, helms, armour) ><
and ShakeNBake's username ruins another quote!
