As the title says, scouts should be able to pick up treasure when auto-exploring. If they do not they will leave whatever there is to be found for the opposition. I suggest making it so that the scouts pick up treasure on the map when auto-exploring so that the AI cannot take it.
They really should do so. Its somewhat difficult to look at the map and find all of the goods to collect them manually.
I second that. Manually picking up all the treasures is getting quite tedious after some time, since there are so many lying aroung.
Its hard to imagine this isn't just an early build deficiency, and won't be put in at some point. Scouts auto-looted in Gal Civ.
To be fair in Gal Civ investigating anomalies was a separate option to exploration in general. and I imagine it hasn't been put in yet so they can decide how it will interact with Dungeons, or at least guarded treasures
Well, theres got to be some kind of smart behavior eventually assigned to it. There are a lot of goodies on the map, and we can't possibly babysit the scout on large maps for every one. "Guarded" treasures should simply not exist as far as the scout's ai is concerned.
This might not be the right thread for it, but since we're talking about scouts and auto-exploring. . .
One of the things I noticed is that the auto-explore action gets taken at the beginning of a turn (also that there is no visual cue whether it is on or off). This means that often times I'll set a guy to autoexplore, notice something I want him to take a look at, and then mutter to myself as he has already taken his move that turn. Would be nice if he took auto-explore actions at the end of his turn instead, like in GalCiv.
