Eco up- focus on building up your economy. Build trade ports, refinerys, and do civic research mainly on population and resources upgrades. DO NOT do fleet reseach or build ships that are not needed for expansion.
Fleet up-the opposite of eco up. Build ships and do fleet research. Unless you are fleeting up from having ben a eco player then you will be very powerful in the early stages of teh game but very weak economically. this is when you need feed the most.
Rush- the act of attacking an opponent very early in the match in the hope of overrunning him quickly or catching him off guard.

Cheers, was looking for something like this yesterday. Communities around a specific game always develops their own lingo. Which is good, but can be offputting for new players trying to get into "sins", so something like this really helps.
Even if the original post is full of errors as N3rull says maybe others can fill in more terms for us new to the online community?
N3rull, its not really the spelling thats counts i made this guide to help ppl in learning online play not to teach them how to spell.
Simple ones:
LF - Light frigatedo not mistake withLRF / LRM - Long Range Frigate (Javelis, Illums, Kanraks)
HC - heavy cruisers
DH - drone hosts
MB - missile barrage. Make sure you don't miss it when your ally warns you of an MB.
ND, Nans - Nano-Disassembler, Jarrasul Evacuator ability.
"WTF you NOOB!" - "you're doing great, friend! Keep it up!"
Superfleet - I said your post is a good idea and repped you for it.Nevertheless, there is no rule on these forums that denies me the right to comment the cute ship names that you've invented.
Big red button- Refers to the Ability of TEC Starbases to self destruct and deal maasive amounts of damage to anything around them.
Prog/Progen- Also refers to the Progenitor Mothership
Halc/Halo- Refers to the Halcyon Carrier
"In the pocket"- this term is used when someone is surrounded by allies on either side, and thus has no immediate threats and should always concentrate on economy to feed the players around them.
"Map f**ked/screwed"- Most frequently used when a player has no colonizable asteroid connected to their Homeworld, but can also be used for a lack of nearby colonizable planets
Sim city- Used when someone is concentrating too much on economy and defense, and not enough on fleet and military, example: "Dude quit playing sim city over there and help me take this guy out!"
"Call it" - Term referring to a teams decision to surrender and not draw out a game they are certain to lose.
Neuts/neutrals/neutral grabbing- Refers to the neutral, capturable extractors (usually found around Gas giants, asteroid belts/fields, space junk and plasma storms) which can be essential to early game economies and to victory in the game.
hoho - hoshikos
OP - over powered (game) / Original Poster (forums)
along that line:
imba - imbalanced, usually way too strong.
fubar, snafu, susfu,.... - look up on the net
Pub - Meaning a public match. i.e. "I'm tired of all the LAN games. What to do a Pub?"
Fubar is one of my personal favorites.
Kurt and Sly ftw !!!
thank you n3rull and deceiver even though you posted some of the same ones i did. everyone after deceiver has no fucking place for what they put here
oh and i would like to know when anyone uses the term DC instead of carriers and what ship names did i make up?
'stop fcuking around and listen to me!' - stop fcuking around and do what person says,he is probably right.
??? wtf does that even mean protelari
"I want some attention, so I am posting on the forums!!!"
your useless
oo I forgot a few!
Fat Kid- The last person picked( or really the only person not hand picked) in an PUG match. Referencing schoolyard days when kids chosen as captains of sports teams would pick the least physically fit or 'fat kid' last. Most often in PUG matches the person with the worst record becomes the Fat Kid, and always gets stuck with the captain who picked first.
12221- The most common choosing order in 5v5 PUG matches, denoting how many players a captain gets to pick during their turn; IE the captain choosing first gets 1 pick, the the second captain gets 2 picks, then the first captain gets 2 picks etc. etc.
12111- The most common order of 4v4 PUG games.
121- The most common order of 3v3 PUG games.
-Note the last pick in each type of PUG game is always a 1, which denotes the Fat Kid, or the last player to be chosen.
