I seem to get dump issues with almost any mod when accelerating time
But I think that's more of a local pc problem than anything, as my motherboard apparently has PCI Latency issues (yick)
This mod is great however, but one thing I'd like to see, if possible, is giving at least one ability to the capital ships.
Any news on whether or not it will be released this week?
I was wondering is this going to have a different research?
that's weird... because the status is changed from on-hold to researching...
keeping my fingers crossed!!!!!!
Ok, taking a little break to do some Q&A for our fans.
Some of the capitals already have abilities set. These are mostly just placeholders until we can finish other things up, but the caps will have abilities.
None yet, probably won't be this week. It does feel like we're getting close to a release though. Don't hold me to this lol, everytime we finish with one problem another pops up, but we are fixing them and are doing our best to get a working, non-crashing beta out to the community.
That is something that has actually already had work done on it. Federation research is pretty much complete, might need a bit of tweaking but pretty much done. The klingons tech tree is also pretty much done for now, might need some more work to it but, it is in.
I think the status is set to researching because we're researching the problems we're getting so we can get them fixed. I might be wrong, but that'd be my guess lol.
Awesome, you guys rock!
FYI I think i have fixed the issue with the Federation mini dumps !!
Just want to drop in and say how impressed I am with the mod so far. I've been playing on the .03c version and can't wait for the release of the new Entrenchment version!
On a side note, I've been spending a lot of time playing as the romulans and have a question or two. First, the number of ships that you've found is fantastic, but I noticed in the older thread that you were planning on adding some more, mostly non-canon ships. Is that going to work out for this release?
Second, I'm loving the Valdore, but the angle of the two wing pylons has been bugging me since I last saw Nemesis. So, I downloaded the appropriate programs for modeling and modding, but I can't figure out how to open up a model of the Valdore, much less how to bend the wings downward just a bit. Could anyone lend me a few pointers?
Personally I agree about the Defiant being a cruiser class ship, of sorts.
It's very powerful for such a small ship, but that's what it was built for, power and speed, it has no creature comforts or whatnot.
I think it should be the heavy cruiser replacement for the Feds, as opposed to a capital ship.
I'm with you on that, captured a multi-star map with them, no dumps. Awesome job on that.
Well, what it really comes down to is what it is capable of. If we drop it to cruiser that would require us to gimp it, which we could do, but with borg to kill and this being a ship designed to do one thing...
It will probably remain a capital for balance reasons, and once you see the firepower it now has, over the old cruiser version you'll see why.
No... I like the idea of Defiant being a Capital ship. Remember, she was massively outgunned for a ship her size and damn near blew herself apart the first few episodes.
So what if she's small??? Where exactly does it say a Capital ship has to be huge? And quite honestly I'm not comfortable with a cruiser being a Borg killer... I don't care what race it is. I'm good with it being a Cap ship for now.
Oh yes, I agree it's a powerful ship
I suppose you could always have the Defiant as the battleship slot and the lakota refit as a replacement for the enterprise C class? I think I only ever saw the enterprise C in one episode of TNG.
Keep in mind that the akira is also a borg killer!!!! Its amazing to watch a fleet of akiras and a few defiants take out a borg cube!!!! Thanks Dragoon still working on the errors, but at least now its playable again!
FYI I am rebuilding the klingon and federation entity files, Possible mini dumps till completed!!
So I played as the klilngons for the first time yesterday... I've got to say that it was by far the most authentic feeling I've gotten when watched their ships move around. You guys have done a spectacular job on them!
On the modeling front, I've discovered a special script that I needed to open Sins models in 3ds Max. The problem now is that I can open the original Sins .mesh files (you know, the ones that are unreadable in text format), but the program says that I have an invalid header when I try to open one of the SoA models. I was hoping to scale some of the federation ships up and down a bit... any suggestions would be really helpful.
Double post

Peachy video ...
Wow! Excellent ship movements! Looks amazing! How close are you to a public release?
Shimmer... that looked awesome!!! You guys are doing an amazing job!
Hey, my B-Day is Sept 3rd... any chance of it being released by then?? It'd make a hell of a cool B-Day present...hehehe
Happy Birthday to me... gonne kill me some breen...
That was kinda lame...hehehe
OMG I just watched the youtube vid. The movement was so beautiful on those ships it nearly made me cry. I originally clicked on my bookmark and was sent to the old page, (show how long I've been out the loop) and was shocked and dismayed. Finding the new page and mod up and running was a nice turn of events and wish the project well, for my own selfish reasons of course .
PS were those Cardassian ships apart of a neutral colony's defense or just ships that were in a planets gravity well before it was colonized?
Looking good guys.
