She was supposed to be horrible. As an actress, I think she was one of the best played characters on DS9... you couldn't look at that sickly sweet smug smile on her face and NOT hate her!
Actually, I'm hoping they applied this to the Defiant. I've been playing the "vanilla" trek for regular sins for the past few days - I needed a 'fix' while I waited - and noticed that the Defiant, like most of the ships (except fighters), just sits there. That just seems unnatural! You ALWAYS see the defiant perform straffing runs, and using the "standard" phaser for dorsal or aft attacks.
Speaking of which...I didn't check, but does the Defiant both types of phasers? Since it is now considered a cap ship, seems it should...just a thought.

I agree... the best scenario is a few dozen ships strafing a cube that's just sitting there looking like it's completely invulerable... and acts like it doesn't even notice the tiny "pesky" fed ships!!!!
