Loki, you and the rest may not believe this, but I have never... not once ever...played online yet. I'm honestly not sure how you set up a multiplayer game. So if you do want to have a few multiplayer games, and can put up with me asking how to go about it... I can't think of a better way to finally join into my 1st multiplayer game!!!!

As for helping out, I will definitly do what I can to contribute to whatever needs doing. Are there any plans on adding other planets? I've done a lot here at home merging Mods like Distant Stars and Celestial Bodies with Requiem or the Vanilla Sacrifice of Angels, etc... if you can get permission to use parts of those mods I will gladly merge some new planets in or whatever...

we are trying to nail down a new error that started today after the music errors and the texture errors were fixed, that is why we do not have a definate date. the alert will change 2 more times before release, so let us do our thing please.

Sorry havent checked in in awhile what happened to major stress?He is not lead anymore?The next release is it the final release.All intended content included?
The next release marks the first version meant for entrenchment. With that said, the team has had a ton of work to do in order to convert the old mod over, plus adding in abilities and research trees. Because of this, the initial release will only include the Federation and Klingon Empire as completed factions (read playable?). I'm not sure if the Dominion and Romulan Empire files will be included, but the idea is for the community to participate in the completion of the mod after the initial release.
Additionally, Loki is personally working on a Borg faction that will also be added in, but that's being kept under wraps until completely finished.
As to Major Stress, well let's just say he had a major stress attack a few weeks back and has stepped back to allow DarkShimmer to take the lead. Stress is still functioning in the role of modeler/texturer when time permits, though.

im not sure but i think the most of the balancing is done and finish... but perhaps a miracle is coming and the galor will get a bit stronger ?
The current downloadable version is for vanilla Sins and doesn't include any of the entrenchment features, abilities, or research trees. However, I recommend you go ahead and download it, play around, and satisfy a bit of your thirst for a trek mod. It'll give you an idea of where the mod is headed at the very least. You can find the link here. I've made a number of modifications myself, such as new ships, adjusted particle effects, meshes and textures, for my own personal version, but I was VERY pleased with the original product.
As to the Galor, there was a discussion about that some pages ago. I believe the ultimate response was that it's classified as a Heavy Frigate ingame but that the mod team felt there were more appropriate Cardassian vessels for the cruiser level. You can check one of the videos posted at the top of the page to see a battle between some Klingon and Cardassian ships. It tell you what you want to know. [e digicons][/e]

Afterwards the community can donate updates to the email link in the main topic header for us to evaluate and add afterwards, then release an offical update. This is to prevent checksum issues for people playing online. If this was not clearly stated eariler i apologize for the confusion.
However....
The community can definetly contribute to bug fixes and suggestions on the tracker site also posted on the Main header topic after the first release is made, if anything it is highly encouraged!
So, I know the races are going to have their own research trees now, and obviously Starbases, but what about the other buildings (shipyards, weapons platforms, etc)?
I was just watching a DS9 episode, Tears of the Prophets, and thinking about how cool it would be if the weapon platforms from that episode were going to be used for the Dominion's defense structure

i think each race has their own platforms, are they in the e version already in?

Yes, It is intended for each faction to have thier own "OWP's" (orbital weapon platforms) The Feds, and Klinks have thier own versions of OWP's in the mod, and the Dominion will use the Cardassian OWP as seen in DS-9.
Starbase's are in, but the fed version needs just a little more work.
I have been out of the loop for a while due to RL work, and i am not done yet. I have a 1 week break coming up, but i will be back to the grind for at least another month to 2 months. I work a seasonal technical job that requires me to travel alot. At the end of october (perhaps november) i will be done for the season, and have a 3 to 5 month break (depending on how many private contracts there are for the winter). THEN i can dive back into the mod in full force again. Like i said before my role in the mod is now a support role. I will model, do UI/HUD artwork, fix errors, and offer advise to shimmer, and crew. This of course if i have free time which as of late i have had little to none. Shimmer, and the SoA2Team have pulled off the brunt of the work for quite a while now. They are the ones who deserve the highest of praise now.
