I just recentley bought Sins and have been so impressed with the game and have been dying to play it online. I signed up and got my account going but when i log on to Ironclad online whilst playing the game it brings up a list where i assume other available players are meant to be listed, but there are never any there. What am i doing wrong? I know this might seem like the most noobish thing ever but any help would be greatly appreciated. Also i would love to join in on any Australian gaming groups if there are any out there.

Hi and welcome to the SINS community! Always glad to have more players, anyway as for your situation, when you log onto Ironclad Online you are taken to a screen where you see your user name i assume, what you would do there is the following:
Step 1: Click "Add Player" tab and it will prompt you to enter a user name, put your user name there
Step 2: Once you have your user name entered, it will appear in the box on the lower left hand of the screen, highlight your user name and click on the tab to your right that reads "Use Player"
Step 3: You should be taken to a game lobby where you will see other player names to your right and options to host or join games to your left and a chat box in the middle. Enjoy!
Also, sometimes you may not see any players in the game lobby but dont worry, sometimes people are either in a game that havent finished yet or in different lobbies or you just happen to be on at a point where player base isnt at its peak.

Do you get to the Lobby?
Your problem may be that Australian prime time is early morning for North America which is where most of the player base is. I can't translate this into Australian time, but most of the activity occurs between 3 pm and 1 am United States Eastern Standard Time. (GMT -5 I think.)
If you are joining the ICO Lobby in the late afternoon or evening, there are liable to be very few players around. Sadly, the vast majority of people who bought the game only play it in single player.
You can get a game going at pretty much every hour, but it might take a while. Sadly, as Jixra has already mentioned, the community ain't that big online as one might hope for, so in worst case there are only about 2-5 games going with like 10-20 people online.
The good side of this is that you get to know people pretty quickly and most likely see them again soon. So it's a fair trade in my eyes.
Yeh i got a chance to give Nyczzz's suggestion a go, and it worked. When i logged on there was a list and it had a few player on it, so thats not too bad.
I didnt get a chance to play anything online though because my girlfriend hates it when i play the game when she is over, so i might not be able to do much until later in the week. Thanks for all your help guys and hopefully i will see you online some time.
Sadly, women and gaming don't always mix very well.
Somestimes they "Mix" and when they do, it is faaaannntassstic.
That's easily fixed - get rid of her
Being in Australia I find that I need to play Sat/Sun morning to get ppl in US prime (their nights etc...). But you DO get a game then. Other times (like our evening after work) is a bit more hit/miss. If I can't get on, I now play Demigod - for just under $27AU it was a great investment (now I can connect post patch).

There are some aussie players out there, but not many and I agree it sucks when you get home after work aussie time (ie 6pm) and want to play but there are not many around.
However, weekends can be good, and so is early morning Aussie time.
Because of how small the online community is. People just go play single player (like me)
If all the single player people that wants to play online (like me...) go joins the lobby. the multiplayer community would be much bigger and successfull but the problem is..... I know it is hard to get a game going.. and many people probably think the same. and Just rarely shows up in the lobby..
So basicaly its hard lol. cause a lot of people dont have the patients (once again. Me)
