I just bought this game and it installed fine from the DVD no problems at all.
I threw in the serial key from the manual, seemed to go in fine.
Ran the game and received this error.

I found the update on fileshack since the main website did not have it available version 105, but even after this I get the exact same error!
Any help would be appreciated!
Try a full install from Impulse (it will download the whole game for you)
Thanks Hack, I will try so, but it just seems odd. Fully patched up on the PC, even let the ports through it needed and I even run Crysis and other high requirement games!

Ports are only needed for MP - and it sounds like you aren't even getting that far...
Aye correct, I put them on regardless, since I am a registered owner
1.05 is actually quite outdated. After that point we have only offered updates via Impulse, and the current version you can get there is 1.16. If an update/reinstall via Impulse to that version does not solve the problem, please contact [email protected] for further help.

Didn't need a reinstall at all, just threw on Impulse and it found the latest updates and then the crucial part was unpacking the system files for the software to work!
End of the day it was me being an idiot and not installing all the required components!
