I played a Pantheon game today that I won, but on the game list on my character profile, it says that I lost it... Whats up with that?
Before gamestart two players left the game, I don't know if that had something to do with anything...
It seems as though the scores has been swapped between the two teams.. meaning that All the great Favor points I gained for winning that game ended up on a player from the opposing team... (who probably left at the beginning of the game) Not fair at all...
Can someone at Stardock/GasPowered Games check up on these kind of errors?
its just bugged currently, this pantheon. people are crying all around. just expect it to be bugged and dont rely on getting any good stats...
Ok... just realised that I have had one disconnect!!
Is it possible, that I disconnected from that game, and even though I won in my session of the game, but the game continued off without me and I eventually lost... It does infact add up with the fact that I heard two "A player has left the game" info's in the beginning of the match.. it might infact have been me that was disconnected, but why doesn't the game inform me of that instead of telling me that it is the other players that left... I don't know.. not even sure if this was the game I was DC'ed from..
But if this was the game I was DC'ed from, then how come the scores are exactly the same as the scores I ended up with... just swapped so that the other team got my scores and vice versa... it doesn't really make any sense...
hmm.. ok...
Thanx for the info
Have happened to me too, and alot of other people. And you are on the right track. If more than one people leave at the start of the game, hit tab and check the pings. if everyone is 0 ping, its actually YOU that got disconnected, and at this point it doesnt matter if you play or not, since the other players probably steamroll your AI double in the "live" version of that game anyway, and get the win.
I usually just quit the game when i notice everyone have 0 ping.
If i want to play against all-AIs i just choose singleplayer.
I agreee the game should end when there are no more human players left beside yourself, informing you of this of course.
Silly design as of now, but we have to bear with it, this will probably be fixed in under 2 weeks time.
this game is peer2peer, so its abigous... you think they disconnect (connection broken between u 2), they think you did. It can happen if the link between you becomes broken.
Internet is like a web. there is more than 1 way between 2 points, but one is chosen as best and traffic goes over it. If it stalls on some point (router hanged up or power went off) your traffic could immediately go via another route but that is forbidden for protocol reasons (if you allow it to switch immediately - that would cause some very nasty instability situations hard to explain in one post). So when it stalls, instead of instantly switching it freeses the connection and waits for 1-2 minutes for connection to restore, only then i will change the route.
So, it may happen that when a hangup happens, some of players are on one side of the barricade and others are on the other side. That means, that you see some players disconnected and some still on, and they see your bunch of players disconnected and their players still on. Both your and other party did not loose the connection to the internet, just one of the routers that carry your traffic went down.
The problem is, on wich side the thing that logs wins and loses is. If it stayed with them - you will have a loose, and if it stays with you - you will have a win.
I see...
And ok I get how the things work with peer to peer stuff and all..
But what I don't get, as I also mentioned in one of my previous posts, is how the "live" game ended up with the scores that was given to the two teams in my disconnected game (it could be a freaking coincidense that the live game actually ended up with the exact same scores.. but how freaky would that be) So all I'm saying is, if I ended up being disconnected, how come its my scores on the match, and not the ones from the Live game that I was DC'ed from??
Won my first pantheon game, and it got counted as a loss, too:

Your theory that players got replaced with AI due to a disconnect may explain why no-one was chatting at all during the game.
