You can tell me that its too early to talk balance, that "the only OP demigod is always the one that kills you", there is no such thing as OP but that's BS.
Erebus is OP, and you can tell me I'm wrong but I guarantee you are going to see him get a nerf sooner or later.

"Mist never does much damage... Even the top base damage before armor mitigation is 125 damage. I've never seen it do more than 120 damage/sec to me, and it uses tons of mana. Good erebus players only use mist when they're trying to avoid getting 1 shot or to clear off negative effects like UB DOTs.
I think nerfing the bite would make erebus not worth playing. He would't be able to stand toe to toe against other demigods without it due to his lack of hitpoints. You can only use it maybe 3 times in a fight without running out of mana. The bite is neccessary to give him an active tanking pool of hit points, which act as a buffer zone vs players who have 8000+ while erebus has maybe around 5500."
He is not suppose to stand to toe with other DGs he is suppose to be able to run use skills run out but i have sat there and watched an EB just go chargen in between 4 towers and kill the said guy and walk out
well consideren the legnth of this thread EB will get nerfed since its the community that is crying.
i think the speed drop should be nerfed 30% is rediculous u get so slow buit it isn't as bad as regs slow down
Yeah, because in real demigod, you have several opponents waiting for you, not just one. If your team comes to save you, the other team will outnumber them and probably kill them. If you come out as they come in, you'll probably be focused first and finished before the fight begins. You're fucked either way.
Two things:
1) The only reason this thread is so long, is because I, myself, have pretty much hi-jacked this thread and prolonged the discussion far past what it should have been.
2) Secondly, if GPG were to base balances off of what the community thinks, coming from the perspective of two weeks of gameplay in UNORGANIZED, RANDOM matches containing players matched up with other random players with no complete sense of team work to realize the full potential of set ups, I'd argue to see the idiot to implement that FIRED.
Also, even if you want to argue it's OP just because a-lot of people say it is, a lot of people disproved their assumptions with an equal if not more people dissenting this stupid thread. If everyone were to believe a 10 headed dragon was in the middle of the earth, does that make it true?
Erebus is fine as it is, really.
On another note i found out a bug that must be patched asap
If you hit the heart and immediatly after you go mist you don't lose the effect of the heart therefore you are as good as new and noone can do a thing to stop you, even in the middle of a fight.
Im sure this is not intended and must be changed.
Probably it happen also with the oak shield but the difference is that you can stay in mist form as long as you have mana left
As you pointed out, Oak can do the same, so that's not a bug. Oak version is actually better because he can shield first and make sure the Heart effect will work.
On the other hand, if Erebus is under fire, no matter how fast you are clicking Heart, then Mist, there is a chance you might get hit once before being in Mist form.
Funny little thing happened with an Erebus today. Two actually. One was on the other team, and one of our guys picked him also. Our EB seemed very UP while their EB seemed very OP. Their EB kicked us around most of the game, killing me 5 times to 1 back.
Is EB overpowered? No chance, this guy was GOOD. He was totaly on form all the time and knew exactly what he was doing. It wasn't just the good kills but the general way he played the game. We ended up winning the match because they had a newbie on their team who gave up lots of kills, we got giants first and just about won the race to lock down the flags (although was so close).
IMO both should not be able to be done by oak or eb. Itested it if u get it off by an EB there iround 5 to 9 sec left on HoL cd to be reused

cant argue against the fact he is very powerful, maybe the most. I dont understand people saying he has weak melee damage low armor and low health. He has some of the best base stats in game.
in some maps bat sworn is broken because of the placement of the health/mana regen stone. is that crucible? Where in the middle of the battle field all he has to do is swarm and hes at his regen stone, while everyone else has a 2min run.
ive been on a lvl 20 regulus with 2 artifacts and good gear and been tanked by erebus in the middle of all my towers with giants helping me and another demidgod helping me and he still killed all of us without him ever getting too low on life. So obviously late game he can get very powerful.
On the otherside he doesnt come with a skill that effectively lets him kill monsters fast so if you dont let him kill you early on you should be able to out lvl him.
when all is said in done though the health drain bite skill is a little over the top. lower the % decress on the movement speed debuff that goes with it or tone the skill down a little bit imo.
in exchange give one of his monster summoning skills a buff. maybe like a passive life drain from his monsters or the enemy ones.
I would also like to make the point that Erebus does seem to be over powered. A large percentage of my games I have lost to Erebus, and only because of him. And ive tried rock roll+hammer and getting tons of health items but it doesn't help and does not work. And the few times me and my teammates do kill erebus it is usually by the skin of our teeth. And I am solely a Rook player right now. And before someone makes a snide "lolz itz cuz you suckz"
Take a look at most of my most recent games. Until I really figured this game out sure I lost to different hero types, but most of the games in recent memory I lost is because of Erebus and only because.

You are only purporting what we already know in that erebus is a good counter to rook. So there's a demigod that scares you? so what?
It wasn't that he scared me, it was that there should at least be a way for the Rook to combat him being a Assassin class DG but instead he gets steam rolled by a General class DG which doesn't seem right. I could see in a pitched battle a better skilled Erebus beating a Rook, not ALWAYS beating a Rook.
I just would think that every DG has some build or counter to any other DG if you choose to counter that said DG. The Rook had nothing to combat Erebus, even right in the beginning before Items are different.
I hope everyone here is happy. Due to all this bitching an moaning they aggressively nerfed erebus into an almost useless state, so enjoy chosing from 7 demigods instead of 8.
While I agree with increasing the mana cost of bite I DO NOT agree with the other nerfs. If you looked at the most played on pantheon, erebus was 5th fucking place. If you looked at the most succesfully demigods in pantheon statistics erebus was no where NEAR the top.
I never even played erebus that much (there are other classes that are better) but now I'd probably play QoT before I try erebus again.
pantheon stats mean nothing since its full of AI.
Erebus is still very powerful, if not the most powerful DG.
Ive never liked playing him, but I have friends that do, and they still pretty much dominate with him...

Just to mention it, this thread was made just as the game was released, so Erebus was indeed a bit OP back then but he got a big nerf patch after about 2 weeks.
