I actually posted this in the Impulse Forums under the Atari games, but the forum seems deserted and nobody was answering.
So, I was just wondering if there are any plans on having NwN2 and any of its expansions on Impulse. I have the retail version of NwN2, but I forgot the disk back home, so I was also wondering if the retail keys are going to be supported for registering on Impulse so I can download it from there, if indeed Neverwinter comes on Impulse!
If they do put it on Impulse, I doubt your key will work I have STALKER and can't register my key through Impulse. It said that only keys provided by Stardock can be registered.
Yeah, retail key most likely won't work. The original publisher would need to provide Stardock with the key database to validate the retail keys, and at least so far none of them wanted to do it. I wouldn't expect any agreement reached with NWN's publisher to be any different, at this point.
Well, even with that I would still be willing to buy it again, since it's about 10 pounds now... Plus I would buy the expansions as well so if there was a bundle pack.....
I wish this game would be made available on Impuse as well. I'd buy it immediately.
I heard NWN_2 is geared more for the singleplayer since during multiplayer everyone is frozen when a conversation with NPCs happen. Last I checked the forums were still buzzing on the original Neverwinter Nights... which was truly a legendary ground breaking game.
Just as an FYI, we generally can't talk about titles coming to Impulse until there's a contract signed. So a lack of a response when someone asks "How about you get game X?" isn't us ignoring the forum, it's just that we can't comment on whether or not a game is upcoming. Only once we have a definitive answer such as "Yes, it's coming" or "No, that title won't be on Impulse" THEN we can answer questions.
We see requests for games, and do pursue them when posted, so keep asking for games you want to see available on Impulse! We may just be a bit quiet until we can give firm news.
As a side note: We offer all publishers and developers we partner with on Impulse the option of integrating their retail keys with Impulse. So far none have taken us up on the offer.
Well, that's nice, that why we are asking It would be incredibly good if it arrived on Impulse. From the Neverwinter Forums I can guess that there is a demand for it to be released in this way.
