You have dared to enter the lair of the most ferocious predators in the galaxy! It is the ulitmate destiny of the Kzinti to conquer the other civilizations of the galaxy, subjugate and enslave any who may prove useful to us, and devour the rest. The Fanged God has ordained that this is how it will be.In just 26 octals of days (7 months or so...Kzinti count in base 8), the Kzinti Empire rose from obscurity, to #1 on the Metaverse. With the blessings of the Fanged God, we have remained dominant for 100s more octals of days since that auspicious day. We leapt past the other empires, and our mighty domain now encompasses over 32 million more light years than the second most powerful empire. The most recent Galactic Map data shows that we have subjugated over 45% of the galaxy. Many warriors from the old and dying empires have joined us, to avoid being eaten along with the rest. We hunger to establish indefinite supremacy over all the inferior sentient species...
We have also been #1 on the AltMeta for over 3 years running. The Empire grows more powerful with each passing day as new conquests are won, and more warriors join us in our inevitable rise to rule the galaxy! The Kzinti are a species of bipedal space-faring feline predators, who love nothing more than conquest and battle. Created by sci-fi writer Larry Niven, the Kzinti have had many stories written about them, most notably in the Man-Kzin Wars series of books. They have also shown up in the Star Trek universe, and a number of other realities.
"Kzinti flesh has a very strong and pungent taste. The weak among us are devoured by their litter-mates within a few moons of birthing. Only the swiftest and most ferocious of us survive to their first naming-day. Those not fit to survive will never live to perpetuate their inferior bloodlines. This is the natural law of the galaxy." - Kzinti Warrior
"The meaning of life is the hot blood of your prey on your tongue, the meat that rends beneath your teeth, the corpse of your enemy left in the sun for the carrion eaters to finish, your defeated foe groveling in submission before you. That is what life is. We are the Kzinti, and we stronger, swifter, wiser, and more ferocious than any other race ever was or will be." - Kzinti philosopher
If your claws can grasp it, then it is rightfully yours. - Kzinti proverbA salute to all those heroic t'kzintar who have made this empire a resounding success. Our conquests continue and the galaxy will never know peace!Join the Kzinti in our quest for galactic dominance, or become our prey…

Sentient species taste better...
Actually that's *his* version.... and he would never explain at home how he got all these scratches
Good bye neilo but i don't think i'll be seeing you in galciv3, First site went up yesterday so bye bye free time. Second site is under way so that will be hosted after i finish school.
Welcome to our newest warrior, Brock Sampson!
If there is no MV in GC3 (as has been hinted) I'll still play, but it wont be as interesting. They should seriously conisder creating one.
Perhaps more interesting than an MV,and more interesting than the fact that I can quote again, maybe GC3 could have game stat ladders, either standalone or in addition to an MV.
Something along the lines of a ranking not by score, but a separate "ranking" for all the various little things that go on in games-techs researched, techs stolen, ships destroyed, etc (and there's no reason to limit ourselves to what the game currently keeps track of, either).
who's already solar #2 on the AltMeta, closing in on me..... out of nowhere he rushed!
Welcome!
More evidence that Mumble really should be with the Gerontocracy...his Evil is too cute for Tyranny. It's much more like the evil of a geezer on the front porch who yells at you for walking on the grass but gives you cookie or something if you actually come up for a little visit.
And you Kzinti know you'll all end up on someone's warm, comfy lap if you don't die honorably in battle.
Hehe...neat video. We recently got one of the Flip video cams, so we have a few cat movies now too. My gf has been saying she wants to get a 4th cat, but I think we should wait on that, at least until we move into the house we're buying.
I dont know Mumble...do you consider yourself "cute" enough for the Gerontocracy?
Mumble lives!
Love the video.
I just tried to play DA and it crashed on start up. Has anybody else had this problem and if so, how did you fix it???
You mean before starting an actual game?
Check your settings in your prefs.ini...see if anything's fishy. Maybe just delete it so GCII can create a new one with defaults, if you don't want to bother reading it.
TA works fine?
I will look at. Thank you Sole Soul
Yes TA works just fine (except for OoMs) but the other two games crash on starting up the actual game.
Edit: Kryo helped me fix it with a "GC2langfix"

I have been playing ZYW's and doing the same thing over and over, now I am getting "Detected Cheat Codes". Is it because I attack on April 1st but I don't take the planet until April 8th. Has anybody else gotten a "Detected Cheat Codes" and do you know why?
If you end on 8th April it's all fine. Maybe the ARC'ed got bungled. Simply take Impulse to verify your installation, and renew the ARC afterwards.
(btw I always was under the impression that *good* aligned players wouldn't use cheats and such things... )
I always was under the impression that *good* aligned players wouldn't use cheats and such things.
I don't cheat and that's why my feathers are ruffled over this. no bird icons!
Such things as blowing up a whole planet just to get rid of a Choas stronghold. There, we lost nobody but Choas lost over 18 billion people. Good job Commander or should I say General now. That reminds me of what Vorlons would do.
No, I've never had the message "cheat codes detected". As Maiden says, it may be something with your ARCed races. I suggest deleting the raceconfig file and doing it over again.
Indeed there is not. Bara could you look into this?
I redid everything and I got a new "detected cheat code", so now out of 14 games, I have 4 "detected cheat code"s. I don't know what to do and I'm waiting for answer from Stardock.
That's actually pretty strange. Did you use the same (unchanged) setup for both "cheated" and "valid" games?
If you want help, probably you could be more forthcoming with infos regarding your setup.
Did you get one of those 2 warning messages before the game starts ("this game has been flagged..." & "this setup is invalid...clear files")
Did you take Impulse to verify & then install an update over your change files? After that, did you re-verify again?
What files do you change/open? You could post your ARC'ed raceconfig in a threat I might take a look at it. Don't worry, our spies have informed us already about your empire's secrets
Welcome to our newest warrior, Thales! Devour the enemies of the Empire without mercy!
I dont know GmOOni. Did you actually delete the raceconfig files and not just write over them in-game? If all else fails, you can un-install, re-download, and re-install.
@ Maiden666
No and No
What kryo did was fix the game so I could play but that was before I changed anything.
It is the same as yours because my spies got from your spies first.
Oh yes, I only changed two things on my three ARC's. That was homestar and super abilities but you already knew that.
yes I did twice
Where is that bird Icon?
I would say that the "cheat codes" are because you attacked on April 1. Even if the game appears to end on April 8, at least one enemy must still be alive on April 8 for the game to successfully submit. More a matter of semantics than anything else.
I'm pretty sure you can resubmit the game to clear the cheat code. I've never gotten one, but I have some sense of recall about that being mentioned. You'll need to reload the saved game before you attacked and hold the attack until April 8. Then attack and end the game.
Best of luck.
I dont think finishing on the 1st will generate that message. You get a cheat flag applied to the game, but I dont remember a message like that. I could have forgotten though.
If someone can't reply to this thread then he's probably using Internet Explorer, which won't work on page 154. Changing to Firefox and/or using the reply-box in page 153 (or any other except this one here) will solve the problem.
I hope this works....
It' not the browser/html ^^^^ see announcement at top of page^^^^. It's springtime at Stardock.
Still think it was your ZYW score...I'm researching the exact time(s) now.
