Again another "Shotdown" wallpaper. I thought this is supposed to get easier. LOL
Hmmm, does this mean you were shot down twice?
More time, more practice, you'll get there.
Actually I think it's the third or fourth. I deleted the others. But on the other hand I have about a dozen accepted. So I'm still on the winning side.
I have many walls in my gallery that did not pass moderation into the main wall gallery. Like you, I used to delete them but you should not! People will visit your gallery to see what you have and they will download anything "they" like! Are you rendering as a PNG to a transparent background? Your render should be twice the size of the finished product to get the smooth effect and if you render transparent, you can change the background, add shadow and depth to the flame and use blending modes to further enhance the flame. The above example, although a pleasant enough render is a bit muddy on the color and clarity. You should really try to learn to manipulate the transforms on your own and leave the scripts for when you have mastered that. I sent you an email a while back but did not hear back from you. If I can be of any help pointing you towards tips and tuts, email me! I am always happy to help a fellow artist! Just keep practicing and don't give up!
I'm gonna go out on a limb (since I don't moderate) and say it probably 'just' missed.
I'm not wild about the colors, and I'm not big on fractals but it's a hell of a lot better than any fractal I could do. I've seen better and I've seen worse.
Keep at it. Everyone I have seen delve into this area just seems to get better and better over time.
In the meantime....
Welcome to the club!
The moderators see ten zillion of these kinds of images. If you are going to make fractals then you need to be more innovative
I dont understand why you consider moderator placement in your Personal Gallery a shameful reflection on the uploaded item, or its author. I've come across uploads in these galleries that would put many of the uploads that made the Public Galleries to shame (he he). Granted, stuff in the Personal Galleries doesnt get the same "download exposure" as that in the Public ones. But the whole idea of uploading is to share your work with others, not to count downloads. So stop feeling glum and continue skinning and uploading. You might also add a Gallery link to your uploads that have made the Public Galleries.
To be honest, I don't see much here. Like Fuzzy said, there are tons of these uploaded daily.
Wall of Shame?
I don't see it that way. You made a wall which is more complex than I could do, and submitted it. It ended up in your personal gallery.
Where's the shame in that? I don't get it.
as long as mine at least make my personal gallery i feel good. just imagine if one didn't get in my personal gallery but is does make me proud when one gets in the main gallery either way i keep trying its fun trying to come up with new ideas
I think one thing the mods look for is something that isn't too "busy" in the area where the icons would be. I can see that icons would get lost on this wall. Just an opinion, not cutting the wall.
skyzyk - just keep em coming coz i appreciate them and its really about the enjoyment of creating, well thats what i think (moderators i promise i wont mention the 50" monitor again ever if you let one of mine thru)
sea of love is gorgeous
i like it overall but its quite grainy...what script or tool did u use... if your interested on this level i would recommend you to google for superflow a friend of mine made it and its actually so overpowered and realy aweseome in quality it may help you to get better results.to the shame part u mentioned i bother with it also but i just cant discover the missing link to the key sometimes i think its the karma that you got to have- or the already existing fame to get into the gallery but then again i think maybee its the moderation itself that has a diffrent sort of taste that wont allow it to someone to get to the gallery... sometimes i see peanut shells on the main gallery while viewing the NUT in a personal page its sweet and salty sometimes indescribable anyway i wish you luck on your next upload and maybee you take my advise to google.i spare you the time with google but here you go http://superflow.ian-clemmer.com/
