Dear Stardock Team,
First, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for your continued efforts in developing Start11. It is truly one of the most powerful and elegant tools for customizing the Windows experience.
I have tested the free version of Start11 on a Windows 11 system set to Arabic, and I was surprised to find that the program does not support the Arabic language. This caused issues during use, as it rendered some Windows 11 icons and interface elements unreadable or distorted. Unfortunately, I had to uninstall the program from my device due to this incompatibility.
I would like to kindly suggest the addition of Arabic language support in the program’s interface, as well as the integration of File Explorer features within Start11’s customization options. This request stems from the growing interest in the Middle East and North Africa, where users are eager to enhance productivity, personalize their systems, and transform the Windows 11 interface into a familiar layout resembling Windows 10 or 7.
If Arabic language support is added, Start11 is likely to spread rapidly across the region and become the number one customization tool—especially in Arabic-speaking countries. With a population exceeding 400 million, the Middle East and North Africa represent a major opportunity for Stardock—not only for Start11, but for your entire suite of software. Supporting Arabic will significantly boost the visibility and popularity of your programs across these markets, particularly in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where technology adoption is strong and growing.
I truly hope that Arabic language support and File Explorer integration will be included in one of your upcoming updates, as this would greatly improve the experience for users in our region. I’m happy to provide further details if needed through my registered account. Thank you for your attention and commitment to global user needs.
With kind regards, Majed Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

Thank you,
Basj,Stardock Community Assistant.
Are you able to post a screenshot showing the problems?
OK .An issue occurs when using Start11 to convert the Windows 11 interface to the Windows 10 style while the system language is set to Arabic.
After applying the classic layout, many interface elements—including icons, labels, and parts of external applications—appear with unreadable or distorted text. Arabic characters are often replaced with symbols, making the system difficult to use for Arabic-speaking users.
This problem affects not only the Start menu and taskbar, but also how some applications render their interface in Arabic. I hope this can be addressed in a future update to improve compatibility and accessibility.
Thank you for your attention.

Sorry, I didn't know how to upload an image to the forum.
I used this site. Copy and paste it into your browser, please.
Nothing Start11 is doing should impact any third party UI. It will of course impact the menu itself which isn't entirely RTL aware.
It looks like the issue is the text is rendered flipped hence being looking unreadable. If you do a flip horizontal in that screenshot you should see it is readable text before it was painted backwards.
I will see if there is a simple fix for this particular issue.
Hello Neil
Thank you very much for your kind response and for taking the time to look into this issue.
I truly appreciate your clarification regarding how Start11 interacts with external UI elements, and I understand the technical limitations related to right-to-left rendering.
Your observation about the flipped text makes perfect sense, and I’m grateful that you’re considering a possible fix for this specific case. Even a small adjustment would make a big difference for Arabic-speaking users.
Thanks again for your continued support and for being open to feedback. It means a lot to users like me who are hoping to see better accessibility and localization in future updates.
Best regards,
Majed
