I just exited out of a game of Battlefield 2042 to find that the start menu won't open. Clicking on it seems to bring up a tiny portion of some menu I've never seen before. You can see in the video what I'm talking about.

Anyone know what's going on here and how it can be fixed?
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. Try restart explorer.exe, does it resolve the issue?
To restart the Windows Explorer (explorer.exe) process, open Task Manager (Ctrl+Shift+Esc), find "Windows Explorer" in the Processes tab, right-click it, and select Restart. Alternatively, you can use a Command Prompt or PowerShell window and enter taskkill /f /im explorer.exe && start explorer.exe to force a restart of the process

Yes, that did it! Thank you so much, basj.
Great, glad to help.

It looks like the menu was off screen.
Did you run your game at a different screen resolution to your desktop and how many monitors do you have?
Hi guys, sorry for not replying before now.
I was playing on the same resolution as the desktop at 3440*1440, but it apparently had reset itself to full screen mode. I usually play in borderless fullscreen which is what I'd set it on myself, as exclusive fullscreen mode can lead to issues, such as the one we see here. I've set it back now so hopefully I won't have this issue going forward.
I really wish there was some kind of wrapper available that could contain an exclusive fullscreen game into a window, borderless or otherwise. Old games especially cause havoc when trying to play in fullscreen.
