Screenshots and videos are very helpful. Videos can be uploaded to a cloud drive service (GoogleDrive, DropBox, OneDrive, YouTube), with a shared link included in your post. Images can be copied and pasted directly into a post.
If there are specific apps that the app does not work (well) with, please note what apps and their exact versions. If any app is not common, a link to a trial version would be appreciated.
Thank you for your interest and any time you put into making Start11 v2 a better product.
That's the Win + X OS menu. We have no control over the size or font used on that.
Thank you for the quick fix, this is also working fine now
This context menu bug is really annoying. Almost unstoppable.
Have you altered the OS to make those popups show quicker?
Yours seems to appear way quicker than I would have expected on mouseover of the button.
The Start11 2.55 Beta has been updated. For details, please see

As always, thank you for your time, feedback, and support.
Hello! It seems to me that it is generally losing its whole meaning to report on errors: the translation is not corrected in the 4th version, the problem with the call of the context menu on the lamps added in the menu labeling portable programs can not correct 6 versions already! Complete ignoring messages about this ... sad ...
Is there any possibility to make the folder icons bigger? They look out of proportion compared to the medium icons I have setup.
And perhaps a folder icons should be in a square line up until its more than 5 apps in the folder?
I see what you mean. The plan was to match how Windows 11 does it, but perhaps this needs some tweaking to be a 2*2 grid.
Unfortunately nobody has been able to reproduce any issues with portable apps. The only explanation I can think of would be if they were installed on network drives or harddrives which have gone into power saving mode.
I'm not sure what you keep in these folders, but you could use custom icons that reflect what's in them to represent the folders. That way, the icons would be the same size as the rest of your shortcuts icons, and you could have a label.
Thank you very much for the answer! I left here several times a video with this problem and it seems to me that everything is visible and clear ... Portable programs are located on the disk "D" (SSD) - this is a physical disk, and not a network and of course there is no disconnection of the power of these discs. The problem is reproduced wherever I tested this: my PC, a virtual machine with located portable programs on the disk "C", 2 laptops where the programs are also located on the disk "C". I also showed on the video that with my native menu, the start -up in my system does not have a problem with the labels of portable programs, the problem is only with your Start menu. So I do not know what and where you tested, but this problem is present everywhere. I am sorry for my time spent to provide detailed information, which no one has viewed ...
No, just Start11. I had ExplorerPatcher before moving to Start11. But I deleted it before installing Start11. It's 1 sec. GIF is little slow because of codec. I don't know if there is a way to change it. And I never been care about popups. It actually starts normal. The bug appears suddenly after some time and stays there until reboot.
First, thank you very much for the massive improvements to the experimental vertical-aligned taskbar feature. Having to restart explorer.exe every 10-15 minutes or just kill it and work with Powershell during high-load, because it was trying to nudge everything over and "rubber-banding" my displays, was a pain!
Now for the bugs!
OS & Version: Microsoft Windows 11 Pro; Version 10.0.26.100 Build 26100
Issues:
Edit: Note, the square-boxed cursor isn't an issue with anything; I just pasted an image of the cursor into my images to show where it was, because it wasn't captured by print screen. Lazy, but provides the intended information!
Hi Tom006k,
I was able to reproduce your 1st issue with the clipping and now have it logged for review.
For everything else, I haven't been able to reproduce the issues.
It sounds like some of this could be environment specific. As you said, Razer software or drivers might be playing a role.
All specific reproduction steps, including settings changes and other display conditions that can be isolated as contributing factors could help to pin down what’s unique.
Best regards,
Adam McGuinnessStardock Support Specialist
Hi Adam,
For #2–4, I'm not sure what more I can add, aside from an image of my display layout:
Also no idea for #5; as you say, it could very well be environment specific.
For #6, I was able to reproduce the issue when opening Photoshop. The only thing in common between Photoshop and Razer opening is the splash screen, but I've opened other applications without a splash screen without issue before. With Photoshop, however, the reaction is far worse. The taskbar continues to nudge the application over and over away from itself, resulting in quite the display:
Once Photoshop is closed or unmaximised, the visible glitch ceases, but setting a different application to maximised then recreates the rubberband issue, where that new window keeps getting nudged over and then resets itself, endlessly, until explorer.exe is restarted.
If, after that issue starts, I take all applications out of the maximised setting, the visible nudging stops, but the system continues to suffer a performance hit. I wonder if the behaviour is persisting but invisibly, such as the taskbar trying to 'nudge' the Windows screen snapping regions or something, but that is just speculation on my part.
The only other thing I can think to share is my Start11 configuration:
Tom006k,
Thanks for providing more details. I've tried simulating the settings from your video, and I do have some follow up questions.
Thanks again and best regards,
The latest update Start11_2.5.5.3-j224-Setup_sd messed things up for me, I had to revert to the previous one, I am glad I keep copies and recommend this to everyone who tries the betas.
It will be difficult to explain and reproduce, hence the link with the video. In only 2 of my 5 secondary monitors (it is ok on the primary one) the thumbnails do not appear on top of the icon on the taskbar but are all on the left side of the screen. It is working correctly in the previous version.

Hello! Once again I am sending a video with this problem and really hope for correction in the next version. In the video, of course, the delay in calling the context menu on the labels of portable programs is not visible very well, but you will notice the difference anyway.

Hello! Please tell me how to fix the absence of an image for the avatar in the Start11 menu? I attach a detailed video with this problem. Thank you in advance for the answer.
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. Is this a new issue recently appear or this is an old issue and its there since you install Start11?
Thank you.Basj,Stardock Community Assistant.
Thanks for the answer! This appeared recently, before this problem was not. This problem appeared after the update to the 25H2 version
Perhaps its an Windows account issue. As a test, try change the picture to something else, reboot the system, see if that picture show if. If it does, change back to your actual picture, reboot again and see if that help.
Thank you,
Basj,Stardock Community Assistant
Of course, before writing I did all these actions. I have a local account and there was no such problem until recently. After updating the window to 25h2, the image disappeared, although it is in all other places and in the folder with the image for the account, but in Start11 it disappeared!
Perhaps, if you have not try it, Please try, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.
