Hi,
with latest Windows11 (24H2) and start11 with Windows7 start menu, I see following picture:
I have set Windows11 colors so:
I wish to have icons in Modern UI Applications not black.
Thanks for help.
If you go into the Windows settings "Apps > Installed apps," what do the icons look like?
Also, open Run (Win+R) and enter "C:\Windows\explorer.exe Shell:AppsFolder" what do the icons look like here?
In both cases the icons are normal.
If I use original Windows11 start menu, the icons of Modern UI Apps are normal. Please note the Microsoft Store icon.
If you see these same black icons in the other Stat11v2 styles, I would recommend you uninstall Start11; reboot; install Start11 from a fresh download from your account download page https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products ; and reboot again. Try this and report back.
Usually the black icons will appear if you set your Windows color to light. But, if you set your Windows color to ligth, that menu background should be white/light gray. Not sure why it appear dark on your system. Do you have something that capable of changing that menu background, such as Windowblinds?
Thank you,

Hi, I think I don't have any app like Windowblinds and after pelaird suggestions the black icons are now only 4.
Thanks for the bug report.
We have reproduced something similar when your OS it set to having a coloured taskbar and menu and using the Win7/Modern menu styles.
This should be addressed in the next update.
Thanks!
This has been fixed and is available as 2.5.1.1.
