UI: Multiplicity 4
MultiplicityConfig.exe: 4.0.0.4
Changelog added to post-install
‘Business’ and ‘Enterprise’ versions are now available. Please see the store page for details.
Fixes Wake On Lan not showing enabled when using new grid mode
Text changes to error messages to provide better clarity
Updated this with new services which resolve a very long-standing instant on / always on / connected standby that is causing looping connection/disconnections when the tablet/laptop is in that mode
Adjustments to prefer IPv4 over v6 IP addresses
Switching from Secondary to Primary now correctly saves without needing it to activate and then try again
KVM sidebar uses a black/white background depending on light mode instead of a dark grey.
Fixes an issue with low compression mode for KVM and seamless display showing visual corruption and changing MP settings with an open KVM session will not make changes until the user disconnects the session.
This fixes the broadcast keystrokes option (ctrlx3) which was broken in beta 3 for Multiplicity Pro and above.
Known issues
While we appreciate all feedback, please remember that we offer no official support for beta \ preview \ developer channel versions of Windows. If you report issues while in any of those early release channels, you should not expect them to be addressed unless it still exists in a retail version of Windows.

Why is there no option to upgrade from Multiplicity 3 KVM Pro to Multiplicity 4 KVM Business? That was announced here!
I was waiting for it for a long time with excitement.
I upgraded the KVM-License few days ago to MP 4 Pro. Now I can not use it because of incompatibility with my KVM 3 Pro
Sorry for any confusion.
The FAQ section you are referring to (the table no doubt) was for "recent purchases"; your MP3 purchases were made 18 months before MP4 was in public Beta.
At this time, there is no upgrade path from the retail products, Multiplicity 4 base Multiplicity 4 Pro, to the corporate grade products, Business and Enterprise.
If you need many licenses of Business or Enterprise and are looking for volume discounts for such a purchase, please use the form below for corporate sales
https://stardock.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/4/group/16/create/10147
If you need a refund for your recent Multiplicity® 4 Pro purchase, so you can purchase Business or Enterprise, please use:
https://stardock.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/4/group/13/create/10140
Hope this clears up any confusion.

Thanks for the explanation.
in fact I missed the purchase date.
I need at least 2 licenses, once for the main PC and a 2nd license for one of the secondary PCs. So returning the license I've already purchased doesn't really help me.
I will test Multiplicity 4 at the weekend and then decide whether it is worth purchasing the business version as well.
I think it's a shame that version 3 remains useless. It would be nice if it could at least be used as a secondary.
Thanks again for the really good software that I use every day.
Issue ODNT-9092 (reported in Beta 2 thread) still exists (cursor snapping to upper left or lower left corner when transitioning between two stacked monitors). All 3 computers in same configuration as original report, but all three upgraded to 4.0.0.4.
Thank you.
Ctrl x3 to engage key broadcasting is fixed for me in 4.0.0.4! Thank you!
Pleased to read and ty for the update.
Hello,
In M4 Beta 3 in KVM mode;
When controlling another computer the mouse works fine on the primary screen (when the scrollbar is all the way to the left). However, if you use the scrollbar at all (to scroll to the other screen, or even if you partially scroll) the mouse will not react to clicks on the second screen of the remote computer. Very strange that it is doing this.
What I think might be happening, is that multiplicity is placing the clicks on the primary monitor regardless of where you scroll to. You can sort of tell this by scrolling where you have something like 3/4th of the primary screen and 1/4th the secondary screen and try click on something that is on the secondary screen. The click will register on the the x and y coordinates as if it was on the primary window... or something like that. M4 Beta 3 is not recognizing that there is a secondary screen at all. It will let you view it via the scroll bar but it will not let you interact with a secondary screen at all. This is true is the M4 window on the primary system is any size other than FIT TO CONTENTS.
If, however, you do FIT TO CONTENTS, which is problematic as it gives you a massively long window, then the mouse will interact with the second screen of the secondary system.
Something is wrong with the mouse tracking and screen tracking when the M4 window isn't FIT TO CONTENTS size on secondary systems that have multiple monitors.
Primary system is Windows 11 Pro (Version 10.0.22621 Build 22621) (one screen), remote system is windows 11 Pro (Version 10.0.22631 Build 22631) (dual monitors)
Sincerely,
Ivan Thomson
This installation was not seamless.
I had been using Multiplicity 3 in seamless mode and decided to upgrade to Multiplicity 4 for its KVM ability. I uninstalled Multiplicity3 off both machines and rebooted both of them. I installed and activated MUltiplicty 4 Pro on the main/master computer Win10 22H2 19045.5247 and said I wanted to use KVM mode. Then I went over to the other machine and installed Multiplicity 4. At no time do I remember it asking what mode I wanted the computer to operate in. I ensured that the password and encryption keys were correct and tried to connect from the main to the secondary computer. I could not. I reverified everything nada. I would get notices on the master computer that it could not connect or that the other computer it could be a result of a firewall. I even at one point was told that the other computer was using an older version of Multiplicity! Only after several frustrating minutes did I realize that the remote computer was configured for seamless mode NOT KVM mode.
The remote computer is the same build of Windows10 22H2 as the master computer. I got the KVM mode working but now I have mouse issues on the remote computer. Both the master and remote computers are running at 2560x1440 and the mouse is useless. Approximately half the icons on the remote desktop are unclickable including all of those in the entire taskbar. This seems to be because the master computer 27" monitor which is running at 2560 x 1440 resolution has its taskbar always visible. This makes the remote computer screen vertically scrollable. If I scroll down to see the bottom portion of the remote computer desktop, and then move the mouse cursor to a particular icon on the remote desktop the highlighting is several icons up on the remote desktop. The result is that when you left mouse click you are clicking on an area further up on the remote desktop than where the mouse cursor is.
@sdrohan
will there be an option to upgrade from Business- to Enterprise-Version?
Right out of the gate, you would want the released version (MultiplicityConfig.exe version is 4.0.0.4), not the 'Public Beta 3' You would also want it installed on each PC.
Are you experimenting with the setting to scale remote connections?
As well as the cog for an active KVM connection where you can use 1:1 or Stretch ( cant picture them at the moment but the cog is on the tab of any active KVM window)?
1. I also discovered a worse problem. The remote computer when powered up and I use Multiplicity in KVM mode to connect to it all I get is a black screen at what is the the lock screen of the remote computer. I can not get the lock screen to display any graphics or the password field. I have to type blindly the login password and hopefully do not make a typing mistake.
2. I have also been having mouse cursor issues where I lose the mouse cursor entirely when moving the mouse cursor off a multiplicty remote window to a secondary monitor on my main computer and then back to the remote window. I can not close the KVM window as it is fullscreen and I can not get the menu bar for the remote session window to show up. I wind up having to kill the Multiplicity task in Windows task list.
3. Regarding the mouse click on the remote computer. I tried 75% scaling and it was utterly useless. Nothing on the screen was clickable and it was a horrendously shrunken window. 1:1 is enabled and I can not uncheck it. Stretch does nothing, Only thing that fixes the issue is if I go to full screen which gets rid of the scroll bar and I can then click anywhere on the desktop without issues. This however has an issue with mouse cursor disappearing 2 above.
When I look at hotkeys I see this
Why does it say (Seamless) for Greg_i5? This is the remote computer and should only be set to KVM mode.
So you are able to type in the password and it accepts it, yes?
One cannot invoke a direct KVM connection with hotkeys directly. While you can open the KVM connection window with Hotkeys, they are primarily for Seamless connections.
Frustrated99, are you 100% certain you have the same version of MP4 installed on ALL the PCs you are testing on? The file version for MultiplicityConfig.exe should be 4.0.0.4 for each
I am afraid I don't know what '2 above' means.
Your issues seem very unique to the release. If you continue to have them, please create a thread of your own and we will work with you on them there.
https://forums.stardock.com/forum/267
Please include as much information as possible, PCs, OS version, the Secondary in question, how many monitors, how they are connected (HDMI, docking station, etc) and the resolutions for each.
What causes the behavior where when I mouse to another screen MP4 virtually presses the NUMLOCK key? It's mildly annoying and I'd like to disable this behavior.
For Multiplicity 3, there was the button to go into full screen mode. But for Multiplicity 4, that button is no longer there. The button to exit full-screen mode is still there. It would be nice to have that button back, as currently I seem to only be able to go full screen by clicking the cog wheel and selecting full screen.
This will be multiplicity syncing the numlock state so both computers are the same.
Once synced once they should remain the same unless you are changing the state when not controlling another computer in which case it will sync on switch again.
All of suden streamless display stopped working. I will excuted the streamless diplay, sims like it working then just get blank screen, can't use the screen, go in to display setting it not showing up there eighther and ends in few seconds.
I got it working had to unitall it and reistall it
JFYI, Kaspersky Standard AV is flagging ...\Multiplicity\MPRDP.exe as containing Trojan.Win32.Lazzzy.gen "A malicious program designed to electronically spy on the user’s activities (intercept keyboard input, take screenshots, capture a list of active applications, etc.). The collected information is sent to the cybercriminal by various means, including email, FTP, and HTTP (by sending data in a request)."
I've added it to the exclusions list, but you might want to take appropriate action.
I would recommend a different av app.
Unfortunately AV apps are notorious for false positives and flagging perfectly normal behaviour as bad to scare customers into renewing.
In this case it would capture input and send it to the machine you are remote controlling but will not be capturing running apps or screenshots and obviously not sending anything to cybercriminals
