Was playing a 2v2v2 teams game with AIs. My AI teammate (Vasari Exodus) had lost its original capital, but was still doing just fine going mobile, as intended. He had a fleet over 2000 supply, was pushing into an enemy territory and eating planets.
Then, suddenly, I was informed that my ally had been killed. Except, he wasn't even in combat. His whole fleet was intact, including his titan. I inspected the titan and found that the AI had voluntarily removed the "mobile rulership" ship item. Presumably, this was the AI shuffling items around to make room to equip a valuable artifact or some other item, which was very funny to see, but surely the AI should value the single item that is keeping them in the game highly enough that they don't remove it and effectively commit suicide.
Hello! That's definitely a peculiar set of circumstances, Ill make a note for the team to look at how the A.I manages items
Saw that happened on my game but did not look into it because figured the ship with it had died or a mod might have broken it as on some maps, one of the AI enemies take 2 hours to expend depending on what planets are spawned on launch... it defeatedly is suicide
