Hello,
Now that Microsoft has officially released the ISO for version 24H2, we are all affected by this problem. ObjectDock 3.01 disappears every time Win-D is used.
Tested on a fresh installation of the OS, with no other software installed apart from the base OS.
None of the possible settings for ObjectDock 3.01 seem to work :
The docks disappear every time we quickly return to the desktop (button in the bottom right corner of the taskbar or using the Win-D command).
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. Just to confirm this issue only on tab docks, yes? No issue on Quick launch?
Thank you.Basj,Stardock Community Assistant.
I haven’t tested the other docks. To be honest, I’m only interested in the tabbed docks. You're not the only one facing this issue with Windows 24H2.
Other developers of customization software (modifying backgrounds/adding docks) are currently experiencing similar inconveniences.
For instance, Rainmeter is also affected, and I don't think Microsoft is going to change anything about it.
Thank you for confirming, its only on tab dock. I have forward your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

Has Microsoft fixed its issue, or is it Objectdock/Stardock that needs to adapt?
Hello,I have forwarded your problem/question again to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.
It’s not MY problem but everyone’s problem.
Hi DamienCr,
Thank you for reporting this. One thing I noticed in testing, is if the position of the Tabbed Dock is against the edge of the screen (instead of floating somewhere), this didn't occur for me. You might want to try that while this gets looked into. In any case, I now have it logged internally.

Thanks again and best regards,

In looking into this further, it seems that even in 23H2, any floating dock will also hide when Windows Key+D is used. (Also, we have noted that some funky behavior might occur if the Object Dock UI is open when using the Win Key+D functionality, so you may need to make sure that's closed for more reliable behavior.)
The Tabbed Dock hiding can be avoided either by:
Please give these solutions a try.
Thanks for your feedback,
With the "Tabs on TOP" setting, the dock remains permanently on top, above all currently used applications (Outlook, Teams, etc.).
This limits me in my daily tasks. After 11 years of using ObjectDock, I feel like I've lost my ability to use a computer effectively
I expect the reason for the difference you've noticed is due to Windows behavior, though as tested this was not from a change between 23H2 to 24H2. Possibly something may have changed in Windows since the original Object Dock. That would have been built differently back around the Windows 8 days.
That all said, I'm happy to put your experience in as a feature request, though please know we can't give any assurances at this time due to the ever-evolving nature of Windows. In any case, we do value your feedback. In the meantime, you might also try docking on the edge of the screen. I hope that helps.
Thanks again,
I am absolutely NOT submitting anything as a feature request!I'm talking about an issue you need to manage as the software publisher, which affects all your ObjectDock 3.x customers. Shifting responsibility to the OS publisher (MS Windows) is your concern, not ours.Further discussion here is pointless. Delaying action will only fuel the debate. The only acceptable discussion would be to share a roadmap for development and bug fixes. You decided to refresh ObjectDock 2.x to try to capitalize on it… fine. However, since v3.01, you haven’t provided any new features or support — is the project dead on arrival? I call this a blatant scam.Stardock sold me an ObjectDock 2.x -> 3.x license as Windows 11-compatible.
That’s in your advertising. Now, it’s up to you to take responsibility.
Update to Windows 24H2 KB5046617, the compatibility issue with ObjectDock 3.01 is still ongoing.
Thanks for the update, though as I mentioned before we do already have this reproduced and logged internally. You are welcome to watch this thread for updates; we will continue to do what we can.
Best regards,
Windows 11 update KB5046740 does not appear to resolve the issue with ObjectDock 3.01.
The KB5048667 update released by Microsoft for Windows 11 does not seem to resolve the issue for ObjectDock 3.01.
Moreover, the "Designed for Windows 11" label has not been removed.
Windows 24H2, which has incompatibility and problems with many programs, is not even compatible with itself
Indeed.
Any word on this issue and when will it be fixed? The only reason for me to purchase the upgrade for Objectdock was because it fixed this issue but now it doesn't anymore....
I should add that the issue is happening with the Quicklaunch Dock for me despite being to the edge...
No, nothing except waiting messages. I upgraded to Objectdock 3.x to make it compatible with Windows 11.
For now, I’m disappointed with this update, which doesn’t solve these issues at all :/
It can be noted that Microsoft has not listened to you in fixing the issues with its OS, which has been sold in billions of copies.
The KB5051987 update does not seem to have any impact on the mentioned issue concerning ObjectDock 3.x.
What is your plan of action to make the tech giant Microsoft comply? Do you have a conference call scheduled with the Windows 11 development teams? Or will you continue selling software that is not compatible with Windows 11?
At first glance, it seems that Microsoft did not listen to you regarding the KB5052093 update. How do you explain this?
The issues are still present with the latest version of ObjectDock 3.x, which was recently released.
I hope Stardock won’t lose its certification signature—I’m worried for you.
Hello, any updates regarding when this will be fixed? The issue is still present.
Rainmeter, like other developers, has updated its software to make it compatible with Windows 11.
Rainmeter is free. Objectdock 3.x is paid.
i allso paid for Objectdock 3....it don't works no more under Windows 11 24H2...shame...
