Here is what shows in my account, which is that I have the Classic Subscription

I need help clarifying my subscription status please. The screenshot of my account shows I have the "Classic Subscription," but I purchased it in July 2023. The help pages for OD state that "Classic Subscription" indicates a purchase before May 2023. Should I go by the subscription type displayed in my account or the purchase date to determine my subscription? Will the software continue to work without purchasing a new subscription? Thanks
I believe the apps in the Classic Subscription will continue to work if you let your subscription lapse. However, I believe with the newer subscriptions (not Classic), the apps will no longer function if you let your subscription lapse.
I would extend my Classic Subscription if at all possible. If you don't and you decide to renew later, I don't believe the Classic subscription will be available.
If you see the words classic subscription; that is definitely what you have. It looks like maybe you lucked out unless you renewed an old classic subscription last July?
Fortunately that is not correct.
You can in fact let a classic subscription lapse and choose to renew at a later date. All you have to do is click renew from your downloads by clicking the OD section. Just do not purchase a new subscription and instead click resubscribe.
Otherwise, you are correct in the way the two OD subscriptions work. Software will not cease to function once the subscription lapses
When it comes to the Stardock ecosystem; nothing beats classic OD. Therefore it is well worth it to keep subscribing anyways.

Thank you.Basj,Stardock Community Assistant.
Thank you basj.
I can confirm that my OD still works and am pleased. Once new updates roll out that I want to have, I will probably renew my subscription since it seems I can let it lapse again and it continues to function at the version it's at upon relapse. (Hope I don't replapse - 21 years of sobriety this year!)
Thank you. I never would have believed it. I'm not pushing religion, just my story... the night I stopped drinking, I pulled over into another lane on an interstate highway and pushed a policeman out of the way. I'd looked but didn't see him there. My license was already suspended for a DUI and I knew I was going to jail and this was going to be bad. He followed me for a while and to my exit to go home. At the stoplight, I heard a voice say "this is insane" and a feeling came upon me and I knew I would never drink again. I had tried for years to quit but, at that moment, I was positive I was done and I was. I didn't know what that "voice" was at the time and it wasn't out loud but within me. Now, I am sure that voice was God and that voice was also the spark that led me to believe in Him because I didn't believe in Him at the time. And for whatever reason, the policeman didn't pull me over.
