Moved to new PC, can't install Fences 3 from Object Desktop.

Classic subscription expired

Hello,

I've moved to a new PC. I've gone to My Account and downloaded Object Desktop from the My Downloads page. Installed it, and now I want activate Fences 3 on my new PC. I've deactivated it on the old PC.

However, when I run the downloaded Object Desktop on my new machine I only get an option to buy Fences.

How can I get version 3 working?

It was still working on the old PC until I deactivated it this week.

I should add that I don't use anything else in Object Desktop and I don't mind buying Fences 5 if necessary, but if I'm able to use 3 then great. I've never had problems with version 3.

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Not really sure on your issue. Need to know more details. When you goes to your account download page, do you see Fences 3 listed there? If you do see Fences 3 in there, it is a standalone or as one of software listed under ObjectDesktop pack?

When I go to the download page I only see Object Desktop, nothing else, as shown in the image on my original post (I blanked out the product key).

I never bought Fences separately. I bought Object Desktop and used Fences from there.

And as your screenshot, you subscription is expired, yes? If so, you can not download Fences 3 until you renew your subscription. You can no longer download it directly from your account page nor via your object Desktop manager.

I would like to add that fences 2 - 4 seem to gave been removed from the OD download options even if you resubscribe.

However, resubscribing to your classic OD subscription is still probably the best way to get Fences 5 on your PC.

A general rule of thumb for OD software is to save the installers on your pc somewhere so you will always have them when you need them

In the end I just copied the entire contents of Program Files/Stardock/Fences over to the new machine, and unlocked it with my Product Key. It works as expected. Next time I'll hold on to the downloaded Object Desktop file.
