So I'm a new user. I got start11 first after I got windows11 after moving on from classic shell. Love the app, spent a lot of time tweaking everything to my liking. I love the granular control it gave me. Then I upgraded to object desktop and installed window blinds. It pretty much turned off all of my painstakingly set start menu configuration. Is there no way to use them 2 apps together? The presets in windows blinds give nowhere near the level of control that start11 does. Some features can be turned on in windows blinds, but I can find no way to use my existing settings from start11.
Have you tried this yet? There is a setting in Start 11....
If the start menu theme is anything other than windowblinds, then switch it to windowblinds theme, and see if that makes any difference. If not, hold on, perhaps another poster can give you additional help and insight.
I saw these settings, I believe that goes the other way. Uses window blinds settings instead of start11. I am trying to do the opposite. When I changed this away from window blinds theme it did not return the settings to what I had in start11 before. I spent a good 45 minutes experimenting with different combinations of settings and did not find a way to use window blinds for everything BUT the start menu. Would love the same level of granular control that start11 has in windows blinds or for it to actually use my settings.
Windowblinds and Start11 work together as a team to skin the start menu, not just dialog boxes, windows, buttons, and the taskbar, etc. Perhaps if you GO BACK to the default Windows 11 skin or theme, then you might be able to get back the control over the start menu that you want. If I am mistaken in my understanding, someone else on this forum, or from Stardock, can correct me.
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. Actually, what you are trying to change in Start11? Do know, for now, Windowblinds can only change Win 7, Modern, Win10 and Win11 style. Most skin do not support Win10 and Win11 style. If we know more on what you wanted to do, we could share some point on how to do it, if it possible.

OK, so I have an update to this. I uninstalled both apps and installed window blinds first, then start11. Now it uses the start11 start menu that I specified when I set up start11. This is what I expected. Much better. I think the old installation may have been bad somehow.

Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. That menu item will only appear, if you have applied a Windowblinds style. And, you on Start11 Windows 7 or Modern style.
