When I update Start11 from version 1.x to version 2.x, it creates a duplicate Pin to Start on the context menu. I uninstall Start11 and remove the setting, hoping it will remove both from the context menu but it will only remove the "Pin to Start11". "Pin to Start" still persists on the context menu. I even tried installing the older version 1.x hoping it would remove "Pin to Start" but still didn't worked.
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, "Pin to Start" is from Windows itself. It is for user who need to pin something to Windows Start panel. It is there with or without Start11.
Thank you.Basj,Stardock Community Assistant.
I noticed the "Pin to Start" in Windows 10, when I select a file using "Pin to Start" it adds to the Start11 menu, additionally, I have the option to right-click the file to select "Unpin from Start" to remove the file from Start11 menu. In Windows 11 "Pin to Start" no longer works with the Start11 menu.
I understand "Pin to Start11" from Start11, but I noticed it doesn't update the file I pinned to the menu when right-clicking the file it keeps showing "Pin to Start11" instead of "Unpin to Start11".
Have you turn on this option in Windows 11.
Thank you,

Yes. I should clarify further about "Pin to Start11", while the file did get pinned to the Start11 menu when I right-click the same file again it will show "Pin to Start11" which will add the same file more than once. The file did not have an option to "Unpin from Start11".
Not sure, but don't you see the unpin menu item?
From the Start11 menu, yes.
From the right-click menu on the file, no.
You mean on the file within the Windows explorer? Yes it does not appear there.
So I can not unpin the file within Windows Explorer on Windows 11? I was able to pin/unpin a file within Explorer on Windows 10.
No, from what I checked. You can not un-pin pinned Start11 via Explorer. Even in Window 10 explorer.
Start11 does not offer unpin from the explorer folders, only pin. This is how Start8/10/11/11v2 have all worked.
To unpin something from the start menu you would select it and pick unpin.
The exception is if something is pinned using Pin to Start rather than Pin to Start11 in which case it will change to Unpin.
