Screenshots and videos are very helpful. Videos can be uploaded to a cloud drive service (GoogleDrive, DropBox, OneDrive, YouTube), with a shared link included in your post. Images can be copied and pasted directly into a post.
If there are specific apps that the app does not work (well) with, please note what apps and their exact versions. If any app is not common, a link to a trial version would be appreciated.
Thank you for your interest and any time you put into making Start11 v2 a better product.

Hello,
When I right click on the Taskbar, the Autohide Taskbar option doesn't show up, is there a setting I need to make? I'm using the Steam version.
Do you have enhanced taskbar enabled in Start11?
No, ennhance the taskbar setting was off. I've turned it on and its working now. I didn't know it was related to this, thank you:)
Start11 doesn't use the Windows API to open folders. It opens links to Pictures or Videos in the Start menu with hard-coded Windows Explorer calls.
I have set to open folders with Total Commander,Windows Start menu and all other tools open folders with it.
Start11 uses hard-coded Explorer Calls, which is a bad behavior for such a tool.
Windows 11 Home x64 Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.3374)Start11 version 2.06
Drag and drop into a file manager windows on the taskbar no longer worksif "Enhance the taskbar" is enabled, If this option is disabled, all works fine, as the actual Windows 11 version supports it.
I have a persistent fault within Start11 that regularly crashes my Windows Explorer and forces a restart of it, that is quite easy to replicate.
Info:
Start11 v2.06
Windows 11 23H2 22631.3296
Fault:
I have a Windows Pro style Start Menu enabled in Start11, and have set my icon style to 'Absurd'. Each icon pinned to my Start Menu is a jpeg of between 80kb to 250kb. There are approximately 160 of them pinned.
When selecting a pinned program and attempting to choose a custom icon, I can highlight the jpeg I want and select it but instead of changing the icon of the pinned program, every fourth of fifth pinned program I change results in no icon change, a system hang for several seconds and then a crash and reset of the Explorer process, closing all associated windows and actions.
I can replicate this extremely easily and whilst it doesn't seem to be a critical crash resulting in a full system reset, I doubt that the Explorer process crashing and resetting this often is good for my OS.
After already coming up for a workaround on two different 'faults' of Start11 that options within suggest shouldn't be needed, if this issue isn't resolved or is a precursor to further problems then I regret that it really might be time to give up on Start11 as whilst the customisation is truly excellent it really isn't worth the creaks, groans and gremlins that seem to creep in to my OS as a result.
Windows 11 23H2 22631.3296 Fault:
Have you tried the 2.07 beta that's available in your store downloads?
What?

I have been experiencing a number of Explorer crashes, too, and have also elected to use the "Windows Pro" style menu. For the life of me, I cannot locate the icon style setting to see if mine is also set to "absurd". Could you please tell me where to find this setting?
Thank you! Mine were set to "Medium". Not sure what is causing intermittent Explorer crashes.
Does the event log show anything?
Also it would be worth trying the 2.07 beta as that has a number of tweaks.
I'm unable to determine the root cause of the Explorer crashes by the event log. Will not submit logs as I am unclear what is being transmitted along with the actual error information.
TBH, I no longer install betas from Stardock as I've been burned doing that in the past by some unexpected beta-related 'surprise' behaviors, shall we say. Further, I am unclear how the beta channel resolves itself once the official release drops. Does it get replaced by the release channel update, or does it remain fixated on beta releases only? If I try a beta these days, can I just ae easily switch off beta updates and have the application automatically revert to the most recent stable release? These are somewhat rhetorical questions as the answers don't seem to be offered up which contributes to my saying no to Stardock betas. Not saying Stardock handles beta releases any better or worse than any other software publisher, and I'm relying on rather dated experience at this point so, for all I know, Stardock has gotten better at all of that.

Using version 2.06 of Start11 on:
Windows 11 Pro 23H2 Desktop with AMD Ryzen Threadripper 2920X 12-Core Processor 3.50 GHz
Issue:: It is not allowing the default Start Button image to be replaced.
I don't have this issue on my Dell Latitude laptop that I had also upgraded to Windows 11 pro 23H2.
I just tried updating to the beta 2.07 version but that made no difference.
Are you running WindowBlinds?
Also is your taskbar in Start11 set to enhanced mode?
In addition to my previous reports, I found a new serious problem.Entries in the Taskbar Tray don't show their context menu on right click, regardless of the Taskbar enhancement settings.
I give up now and stop the evaluation.I had no such major flaws or problems using StartAllBack.
______________________________________________________
I am not seeing this on my system. With the Enhanced taskbar on, I am able to get right-click menus on all my System Tray apps.
Are there specific apps that don't work, or all apps?
Windows11 - 22635.3430; Start11v2 - 2.0.7.4
All apps
For example: Listary, Defender UI, PowerToys, Everything Search, NVidea settings, all AHK scripts
That's very odd as Start11 does not provide the tray area.
Are you perhaps running something else which might interfere with Start11 as I do not recall hearing anything remotely like that before.
This is not the case. Start11 does not make direct explorer calls unless the user is opening explorer.exe.
Start11 IS part of the explorer process and will launch things using shellexecuteex which might have detection for folders itself but that's not a Start11 thing.
I would guess however that the root issue is total commander not handling this scenario.
Some of the quick links use shortcut files but again if it fails to open total commander it would not be a flaw in Start11. If this is the issue you can add your own links to the folders directly instead of the libraries.
That said I will get someone to try this to see if there is anything we can do.
We shall investigate this as should not be the case.
