I purchased the base game, expansion pass, and supernova upgrade all on Epic.
I have the soundtrack installed. The DLC is not installed even though the Epic store says I own it.
Epic has not responded to my open ticket for 6 weeks or so. They won't let me open a new ticket. I added this problem to the existing ticket.
Does Stardock know how to solve this?
Which DLC are you having trouble with? It's an expansion pass, so content will be released over time. Only the Soundtrack and Tales of Centauron have been released so far. Next DLC will be Warlords with Species Pack, Megastructures and Tales of the Arnor coming in the future.
The Epic store shows I have the Expansion Pass, soundtrack and the Tales of Centauron in my library.
I have the soundtrack. It was automatically installed in its own sub-directory. I didn't take any explicit action to install it. I did recently click on update for Galactic Civilizations IV Supernova & the Insider's Edition.
The Tales of Centauron is not installed as far as I can tell. The DLC subdirectory in both the Supernova and Supernova Insider's Edition directories is empty, except for the zero-length file "Placeholder.txt".
Ah, it's probably installed then. I think devs were going to use the DLC folder but didn't. Everyone has the DLC\Supernova\placeholder.txt. If you look in the Data\Gameplay folder you should see something like ShipComponents_Cent.xml. The first DLC is mostly an event pack. The second is going to rework combat quite a bit. Here is the description. "Dive into the 24th-century Centauron sector, a melting pot of galactic powers like the Drengin Empire and the Altarians. This DLC enriches Galactic Civilizations IV with unique technologies, planetary improvements, starship components, executive orders, and a new mission: Return of The Korath. Experience dozens of new lore-driven events that bring the galaxy's story to life. These features also extend to custom civilizations sharing traits with canon species, offering a more personalized and immersive gameplay. "Tales of Centauron" promises an expanded, dynamic universe, deepening your strategy and narrative experience in the Galactic Civilizations saga."
It can be difficult to know where the DLC begins and ends.
Other way to easily check if you have the Centauron DLC, is to open missions, and see if you can play the Korath one.
Hello! If you don't see the Korath mission in question, please feel free to reach out to me via DM, and I'll see what I can do to help get this resolved
I am in a similar both, had supernova + expansion pass on Epic.made the move to steam.I understand the steam version si supernova, so thats fine. But my pass seems to not have transferred at all. I checked for the mission and no go.
I'm in a similar situation. I've found some of them where you pointed out, but I'm not seeing the species pack. What should I look for that add-on? Thanks.
For the Species Pack check under custom civilization when making a new game. Then select choose species. If you have the DLC you should see a Create New Species at the bottom right.
