ThanksBasj,Stardock Community Assistant.
Try to make a new preview, and save it in a lower quality if it's close to the 2MB limit.
I assume it's the uploading of the preview that's the problem and not the wall/zip itself?
It is a JPG -- just doesnt want to be uploaded.. YES the Preview.. I am just putting up a different one
AND I am seeing a PROBLEM with the new (I NEVER ASKED FOR IT) upgrade in Firefox
IT COMES UP VALIDATION FAILED..... Just happened again
VALIDATION FAILED... thats what the "BOX" says
As mentioned above have you tried other browser? To me it look like Firefox is blocking it. But, hey, what do I know.
Thank you,
Basj,Stardock Community Assistant

THIS IS ON MS EDGE.... So is it a WC problem??? Any you Big wigs out there???
I made an upload earlier that worked as supposed to, and I have never seen that validation issue before here, or on other sites, so wait for an answer from someone who might know.
SORRY... HOW do I take it down??
Sed, have you tried
1. Rebooting your computer, and cleaning cookies and cache? Also, do an online virus scan https://www.trendmicro.com/en_ca/forHome/products/housecall.html as it can't hurt.
2. Have you tried using Brave browser?
3. A warning of that type generally means there's something about the file that the website is reacting to, and it can be many things.
The fact there are no other reports of this strongly suggests it's a local problem between your machine and WC.
Try 1, 2 and 3 above. If they don't solve the problem, try uploading a simple screenshot to my January thread, and report what happens. OK?
The IT guys are on weekend footing, and tbh this appears to be an individual problem so they might leave it until Monday. I'll leave a message on the chance they'll see it.
edit: Got an answer from IT. They're asking you to email the file to them for analysis: here's the email address: services@stardock.com
ONLY HERE could his screw up ... The address Service Stardock''''''''''''''' Isn't connecting for me
DR... service addy isnt working
I THOUGHT I was going to get an answer today from TECH???
Sed, that's an email address. Open your email program or mail server and address it to service@stardock.com .
Attach the problem file/files to the email. I use gmail. This is the way it should look if you use gmail:
It's now 11:50 PM where I am. I'll check this thread first thing in the morning to see if you're having further problems sending the email.
Personally, I have never experienced such a issue. Odd. Since there are usually alternatives, perhaps using a different browser can help. Keep trying alternatives. I find it difficult to believe that you would continue to see this with all of these other browsers, such as Brave, Vivaldi, Opera, Pale Moon, Epic, IE (yes, I know it's ancient),etc., unless there is possibly something going on with your machine like a virus, or malware, or something. A memory issue could be another area of concern. But I freely admit that I am conjecturing and speculating. Hope this can be be fixed and solved soon!
I don't think the browser is the problem. I think the file is. Anyway, SD's IT will be looking at it.
Hey Sed, we received your file and I can confirm I have the same behavior on my side when uploading it as a preview. We'll need to look into the file more to find out what it didn't like specifically about this file.
For now - I was able to bypass the error by opening the file in paint and resaving it. If you'd like you can download this new file and attempt your upload again.
WENT THRU using Paint... But there is NOTHING different with the file
jandrews, a big thank you for your help in the meantime with this workaround. I look forward to learning what the problem was.
Sed, obviously something in the file changed after saving in Paint, as it was accepted without a glitch.
