I am back to trying to fix a problem that has been with me for years. I asked about it back in 2022 but never got it fixed.
When I try to use the computer WITHOUT SPEAKERS for listening to music or a zoom call, the sound works fine for a while (today it went almost 20 minutes). But then the sound stops. If I run the music or zoom call on the computer that has the speakers, there is no problem. But it is not convenient for me to use that computer. I don't want to move the speakers to this computer, since I use them for playing music from the other computer for parties etc and it wouldn't work to move them,
It always works for a while and then stops. Please, can anyone help?
THat is a very intriguing question! Hopefully someone can help!
That sure sounds weird. Works for a while, but then stops. Have you used Windows troubleshooting to try to figure out the cause, or have you checked the device properties on the sound? I wonder if a faulty driver could be a bad guy. However, I am not an expert on computer sound issues. But it's good to be back, I've been offline because of ice storm issues here in the Pacific Northwest. If anyone else has any feedback on this, I am sure it will be welcome. Another thing could be to check the output on the sound. Is it speakers, or headphones, or what? Hope this can be of help.
You might want to check your 'sleep' settings. Possibly the computer thinks it's not being used and is turning 'bits' off....such as the hard drive [that has the music]...
Sound is coming from youtube, zoom, etc. Computer is still awake
