With the Start11 v2.05 (was 2.04) beta release today, we are creating this thread so that users can report any observed issues.
Obtaining the beta:

Screenshots and videos are very helpful. Videos can be uploaded to a cloud drive service (GoogleDrive, DropBox, OneDrive, YouTube), with a shared link included in your post. Images can be copied and pasted directly into a post.
If there are specific apps that the app does not work (well) with, please note what apps and their exact versions. If any app is not common, a link to a trial version would be appreciated.

Please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

Confirmed fixed. Now I can use enhanced taskbar since w11's version is ugly and doesn't always name the buttons properly.Any word on a "Forget desktop" option for pages? Even if I delete a page when I recreate it, it remains assigned to the desktop I set it at.Thanks for this update great work folks.
Just go to the first page and save that and it will achieve the same result. Without any settings saved the first page is the default.
Understood. Would it be possible to get an option to have a persistent tab group? Like a "Show group on all pages" option. I have a group of common links to various apps, urls, etc... that I want displayed on all pages. ATM I simply recreate the group for every page but have to update them all each time I change any one of them.

I am unable to move any icon to the first row. It always turns red.
Where did the icon come from?
The row below. But it doesn't matter where it come from. I've tried every row and it's the same. It's like the first row is stuck and can't accept any icons to be moved.
Here I've tried to move the icon from the first row just to move it to the left.
If I move the first row to any other position, say the 3th row. I can now move the icons and then the row that ended up being first get stuck.
It's just the first visible row that gets stuck (top first row).
See this post. Read thru the entire post and watch the videos. These two found a solution, although I'm not sure if this will fix yours.

What are your Start11 settings? Are you willing to backup your S11 settings and send me a link to the S11backup file via a private message? As a note it will include searches made which you can wipe first from the config and all your shortcut links on the menu so be aware of this if there is anything confidential.
Also what scaling factor is your monitor set to?
Right now I cannot reproduce this here, dragging on the top row is working perfectly which makes me think there is some setting involved thats causing it to show the issue.

These two were able to solve this issue by turning off "Show recent documents." You replied in this post in Reply #39.
If you do Win+R and put shell:Appsfolder in the open box and run that then you should get an explorer window listing all your apps. Right clicking on the items allows you to create a shortcut which it will want to put on the desktop. You can then put this in the folder you want.
That app itself will never check \ install betas.
Totally exit ODM (from the Windows Systray) and restart to see then if it shows 2.04 available.

I got an issue with the beta.
If I play a game in fullscreen mode and use the alt+tab to witch to another programm and than back, I have an invisible taskbar at the bottom of the edge on the desktop after exit game.

Easy to reproduce in my case:
Turn on all Start settings in Windows 11 specifically "show recommendations for tips shortcuts new apps and more".Ran the Purge batch file.Reinstall Start11. Select Windows Launcher style.Recommendations show up at the bottom of the Start11 Menu and Icons in Top Group are moveable and can be dragged in or out of the Top Group.Go into Windows 11 settings and turn off the "show recommendations for tips shortcuts new apps and more" setting.Recommendations are now gone from the Start11 menu and you can no longer move or drag the icons in the Top Group.
Go back into Windows Start settings and turn on the "show recommendations for tips shortcuts new apps and more" setting.Recommendations do NOT reappear in Start11 even after a reboot. So turning the Windows 11 setting back on does not restrore the recommendations or the ability to move icons in the Top Group.
Made sure the Windows 11 setting was turned on and ran the purge batch again and reinstalled (not sure running the purge batch was needed).Recommendations are now back in Start11 and icons are movable again in the Top Group.
I would really like to turn off Recommendations but will leave them on for now to keep the functionality of the Top Group.
I run a plain Windows 11 system with no other start/taskbar/desktop modification apps. Taskbar is on the bottom and centered.

Please look into this as I would really like to turn Recommendations off. I hide them now by resizing the Start11 menu so you cannot see them, but you do see the Scroll bar in the menu.

I just downloaded and installed S11 2.04 beta and it resolved so many of the issues that I was having - I can now go back to using it on my production machines!

I can not reproduce your issue on my system. I did all your steps, turn on recommendation part in Windows 11, purge, reboot, reinstall Start11, reboot again. Test it. But the Recommendation part never appear on my Start11 panel. Here is what I get. I get recent documents. And if I disable Recommendation in Windows setting. I still can move items into the top row.
Yes Recent Documents is what shows up in Start11 and then goes away when I turn off Show Recomendations in Windows, but does not reappear when I turn Show Recomendations back on. Tested that twice.Thanks very much for testing it Basj. Your results would tend to point to some other setting(s) I have probably turned off or disallowed. I do use ShutUp11 to disable quite a few things in Windows. I may play around with that since you can export ShutUp11 settings and then reimport them. I will also probably do a clean install later this year too when the next version of windows comes out.
Right now I guess its working as intended and my top group is editable so not too concerned.
The windows show recommendations setting option should have absolutely no impact on Start11. It has its own setting for that.

Icon Refresh not Working as Expected on Additional Pages
Icons on additional pages don't refresh when "Pick custom tile image..." is implemented.
In some cases all icons on the page are not displayed; other time just the icon changed is not displayed. The pinned items are there and the bounding box is displayed when hovering over the item, and opens when clicked, but the icons are not displayed.
Now, if you grab the bounding box and start to move it, the icon is then displayed.
Sometimes "Refresh icons" will cause them to show; other times not. Sometimes "Refresh icons" will cause all the icons to disappear.
To reproduce this issue:
Create a new page in the Windows 10 style;Pin a few items to the new page;"Pick custom tile image..." for all the items;Right click one of the pinned items and then Icon>reset to default;Now, right click the same item and then Icon>"Pick custom tile image...";Select an image; andAll of the icons have now vanished.
Hover over the pinned items and you will see the bounding box; thenLeft click an item and begin to move it and the icon will display.
I can repo this on a non beta version of Windows 11 as well (it took me a total of 3 new pinned items all with custom images for the icons to disappear)
If I use Start11 in win11 in enhance mode, the "bug" is reproducible, when I play "Darktide", e.g.
With deactivated "enhance mode", all seems fine.
