Hello, I am very happy to have discovered that Stardock worked with Epic to grant Steam game keys to anyone who purchased Galactic Civilizations IV or Galactic Civilizations IV: Supernova through the Epic Games Store.
I did it, and it worked easy and instantly. Simply amazing.
Now it creates a question for me. I am interested in buying the expansion pass...... really I could stop there as I think the question is already clear. lol
But, so yeah - bottom line :Will there be anything in the future to transfer the expansions from Epic to Steam as well if I buy from Epic?Having the game, and not the expansions on Steam render it kinda moot.
I prefer spending my $ with Epic (I come from the Impulse days),but Steam has over 95% of my games library just existing over time.Thanks for your time!
I did go ahead and buy the Expansion Pass while it was still in its discount period.Again, if I need to pick Ill choose to support Epic, so I am hoping down the time that all the expansions will be able to be transferred as well.However, Im sure that what Epic wants is for people to use its storefront.So perhaps the way this would best work is if Star Dock as a popular and successful company, encourage Epic to reverse this idea, and work with game publisher companies so that if people have their games on Steam, Epic would be the one to give out the keys for transferring games to it instead.Bottom line? Tired of needing to mange accounts for a three way split between Steam, Epic and GoG, right now all gamers are wishing for is that their entire game library was in one place...
