Fence 5, a subscription now. Have you people lost the plot. This is not a service, it is a software. Pay 15.99/yr to put an area to launch apps. get stuffed. I'll stick with version 4.
Software developers going to subscription models are going to loose out in the end. If this trend goes on, you will not be able to afford having a PC.
If you are going to start doing this with Start, Curtains, you will loose me as a customer.

I purchased the Fences software, among other products from Stardock. Currently, I have version 4.21 installed, which could still receive several updates until reaching the latest version, 5. However, Stardock, driven by greed, launched version 5 and requires payment for the upgrade. The greediest part is that, according to the email I received, the update costs only US$ 7.99, but this implies a subscription, not a one-time payment. For a one-time payment, the price goes up to US$ 29.99, which is equivalent to buying Fences again. I consider this practice by Stardock a great disrespect. I decided that I will not buy more products from Stardock, as I do not feel they value their customers.
