Why someone would still use ExplorerPatcher with Start 11. I was using ExplorerPatcher, but got tired of the issues during the windows updates. The only thing I still miss is the Windows 10 battery flyout, but I prefer the Start11 small taskbar with notfications on the pinned icons and everything, you get Windows 11 feel and design with the functionnality of the Windows 10 taskbar.
Please try cleanboot and see if there is something conflicting with Start11. Refer here: https://forums.stardock.com/505872/start11-support-faq#cleanboot
Thank you,

i am testing start11 on a secondary installation booting by Metro from a VHDX with few installed softwares: MS RDP (from ms store), chrome and some other browsers, WPS Office (from ms store), telegram (from ms store), whatsapp (from ms store), hwinfo, forticlient and wingetUI;
but i have the same scenario on an other win11 laptop and one friend of mine has the same too on his desktop at home;i will try on a cleanboot or on a clean win11 VM and let you know about;
I'm having the same Recent Documents menu issue as hbanh89, except I'm using Windows 11 Pro (23H2 22631.2715).
I should have posted this here: https://forums.stardock.com/524389/win10x64-start11-v203-not-clearing-out-uninstalled-suggestions-in-start-men
I've got a problem with 'Sticky Notes' in the taskbar: regardless of whether or not I pin Sticky Notes to the taskbar, if I left-click the icon for Sticky Notes, it will instead inconceivably open a 'Window Explorer' window. I'm not sure what the actual trigger for this is? It often seems to happen sometime after a system wakeup I think? I can manually trigger it by simply restarting 'explorer.exe'. If I instead right-click, it will open a standard context menu and not the 'Sticky Notes'-specific taskbar menu it ought to be opening. The only real fix I have is a) to simply close it (if it was unpinned) and then reopen Sticky Notes, or unpin and close it (if it was pinned), and then again reopen Sticky Notes. I used to have this issue with other Windows System apps like 'Notepad', 'Photos', and even 'Settings' itself, but the problem resolved itself when I upgraded to Start11 v2.
Another issue I've encountered on Start11 v2.03 (and previously) is that the Windows Notification/Calendar Bar is seemingly always misaligned to the center of the screen. I found a thread from this past August that was on Start11 v1.43 and it described the same issue that I too experienced on Start v1.44 before upgrading. I do not know the trigger for it either, but again, my guess is also something to perhaps do with system wakeup, at least in my case I suppose. It isn't sleep mode; spontaneously occurs on its own. This issue can be temporarily resolved by restarting 'explorer.exe'.
Can someone check this issue please. This issue appears in Start 11 v2.03 as well on my side:

Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. I've checked and I don't see the issue on my system. Tested on Windows 10, you on Windows 10 or 11? Full version number please.

Hi,
I'm on Windows 10 Home 22H2 x64 German (OS Build: 10.0.19045.3754) and I'm using Start 11 Version 2.0.3. As well I'm using Curtains in Version 1.19.1.
Do you need more information from my side?
Regards,
Need to know name of that Curtains Style that you're using and Start11 V2, you are using Windows 7 or Modern Style? Also, please post some screenshots on your startpanel.

I'm using this curtains style: https://www.wincustomize.com/explore/curtains/347
I made some small modifcations on the skin:Original:
Modified Skin:
For testing purpose I used the default Windows 10 Skin in Curtains and tested the Start Menu after an reboot but it doesn't change the behavior:
I'm using the modern style startmenu in Start 11:
Skin configuration (Should be default settings):
Skin individualization (only changing mica effect on / off and the transparency level. Other settings are default):
I have all the other submenus on default (Symbol Start until backup settings).
About:
I don't use Explorerpatcher, UxThemePatcher or other UI changing tools.
I can not reproduce your issue. With all your setting applied on my system I still can adjust the transparency level on my system. Refer screenshot below.
Moving forward, I believe it is best if you create your own tread since it look like this is not specifically Start11 v2 issue. It most probably, some other thing that is interfering with Start11. So, please start a new thread with all the details you post here and I will try to help you there.
i tried on a fresh win11 23H2 installation and it works as espected with enanchement of the taskbar and centered icons and start button:
also with substitution of start button;but now it's hard to determine what could it be to create the scenario with the problem... any suggestion?
regards.
Icons get jumbled up on latest Start11 version and Windows 11 23H2:
Start11 v2.03
After turn on and off taks view i've got that issue, after click on explorer icon sometimes explorer adjusts to the smallest size.
I can confirm this issue with the following settings.
Enhanced taskbar enabled
Never combine taskbar buttons
Always hide text on buttons regardless of group state
Enable Start11 autohide mode
Centered Start button (Windows default or custom button)
If I use Alt+Tab or WinKey+Tab to open Task view, it seems to clear up, but will happen again as different apps are opened or closed.
If the Start button is on the left, it doesn't seem to happen.
This is an annoyance. Do I really need to type out "Command" every time to get a command prompt.
Below is Windows start menu vs Start 11
I'm not sure if this started with the latest update, or when I installed Git (both of which happened recently). But cmd has always worked till now.
Maybe it could be due to Copilot?
You could type windows + R and in the "run box" type cmd + enter (as escamotage)
It is probably because of git as CMD is part of the name which matches. Start11 will remember the launched item for a given search string and promote it to the top so if another option is shown then it can override the default best match but in this case it isn't showing others.
We will look into if that's because it only checks exe filename matches in the absence of no other choices.
u can add shortcut in Windows 11 pro style
