This is happening on multiple computers, some windows 11 22h2 and 23h2.
The sub menu to choose shutdown/restart options is unclickable at times launching whatever program option is underneath the flyout menu:
In the image above, clicking on sleep will not sleep, it will launch "Adobe Acrobat" which happens to be beneath that area. clicking on shutdown will instead launch "Affinity Designer" instead of shutdown because that is the program that is underneath that area.
Clicking on the power icon brings up the shutdown options flyout, if the mouse cursor does not stray away from the flyout menu, it stays in focus and works as expected. However, if the mouse cursor strays away from the floyout menu and hovers over ANYTHING else, you lose the ability to interact regain focus of the flyout menu and click any options upon it. In the image above, the mouse cursor has strayed a few pixels away from the flyout menu and "Adobe Acrobat" gets a hover highlight as if the flyout menu is not there.
Steps to reproduce:
1) change start menu "style" to "Windows 10 style", click on start, then click the power icon.
2) move the mouse cursor away from the flyout menu, do not click anything.
3) try to choose any option at all ("Sign-in options" at least comes with no interruptions to other programs, just a window to dismiss)
I can confirm this behavior with the Windows 10 style, but only if the All apps list is under the Power context menu. If "Show app list in start menu" is turned off, the Power context menu behaves as expected.
Windows 11 Pro - 22635.2700; Start11v2 - 2.0.1.1
Happens with Pro style, as well. That and what happens with the start menu may have me rolling back to 1.47. Also, the font disappearing in Fences 5...
The issue with the pro style should have been fixed in the 2.01 beta.
The issue with the Win10 style will be resolve for the next beta, thanks for letting us know.
Thanks everyone for chiming in. I'll just carefully navigate my mouse cursor until its fixed wonderful product anyway!
Nice to see that comment, ahazuarus. While SD shoots for perfection from the word go, it isn't always possible, and it's nice to see a person with a sense of reality. Good on ya!
