Screenshots and videos are very helpful. Videos can be uploaded to a cloud drive service (GoogleDrive, DropBox, OneDrive, YouTube), with a shared link included in your post. Images can be copied and pasted directly into a post.
If there are specific apps that the app does not work (well) with, please note what apps and their exact versions. If any app is not common, a link to a trial version would be appreciated.
Thank you for your interest and any time you put into making Start11 2.0 a better product.

Because licenses are for the version you purchased. So a 1.x license works for all 1.x versions, a 2.x license works for all 2.x versions.
There is an upgrade discount available for previous owners if you wish to upgrade.
You can set an image on a tab or a group, It is called background texture under the group appearance menu.
I'm learning something new every day about Start11v2. The Dev's have really outdone themselves on this one. For the life of me, I can't understand why there are so many complaints about having to pay for this UPGRADE!
Love it! Love it! Love it!
Well... I can understand a new license like from Start10 to Start11, but from 1.x to 2.x is not nice. Thanks for the answer
It really is a massive upgrade if that helps. More in fact than between Start10 and Start 11.
For those who are hung up on the naming convention of the product and confusing UPDATE with UPGRADE, no one is forcing you to pay for this UPGRADE! If you don't want to UPGRADE, just stick with version 1. As Neil said, this is a massive UPGRADE, and in my opinion, it is very underpriced for what you get.
Will the open points from the preview thread still be automatically transferred to the ongoing troubleshooting?
e.g.
I personally find the extensions in v2 really comprehensive, which easily justifies a new licence price for this new major version. Especially as this is really very low and (fortunately) not a monthly licence fee!
So thank you very much for organising this in this way. I was happy to be able to pay for a new one-time licence because it also gave me more important functions (e.g. backup my settings).
Because it's a new product (that's why it's called Start11 v2.0).In order to use it, you'll have to upgrade:

Despite all evidence to the contrary there is still a hard core that believes that everything on the internet should be free, that if you paid for whatever in the past you never have to pay again no matter how it's changed, that there really is such a thing as a free lunch and that whatever it is, it's always someone else's job.
Just discovered an oddity with 2.0.0.6. If you hover over a shortcut on the Start11 menu (Windows 10 Style) until the name of the shortcut appears, and then click the shortcut, the name stays on the screen after the Start11 menu closes until you move your mouse over the app or window that opens.

EDIT 11/12/2023: Fixed in 2.0.1.0; Thanks to the Dev's!
Have you disabled OS transparency settings?
Transparency effects are on in Windows Settings -> Personalization -> Colors -> Transparency effects.
And this problem didn't exist on the latest Start11 v1.
In Object Desktop, I'm now showing both V1 and V2 are installed. What would be the safe way of uninstalling V1 at this point. I'm just concerned that uninstalling V1 might yank the rug out from under V2 in terms of settings and content.
They share the same directory so I wouldn't worry about it. Leave it as is.
Okay, so I guess that confirms the settings and content conflict between the two. For as much as I am okay with just leaving something be, you just know someone in the same position will end up uninstalling without asking first and lose all their hard work in setting up V1 and V2. Maybe planning ahead for these kinds of frustrations wouldn't be such a bad idea?
Windows 11 23H2 Deutsch Neueste ISO von Microsoft heruntergeladen neu installiert Es funktioniert einfach nicht Start11 v2 mit der neuen Taskleiste und der neuesten Microsoft-Version Deutschland
The issue seems to be on a secondary monitor. It isn't a screen height thing, it is purely the secondary isn't doing things correctly when rounded mode is off.
Will be fixed in the next update, thanks for letting us know.

Quoting RSRAZOR, reply 42windows 11 23h2 german latest iso downloaded from microsoft reinstalled it just doesn't work start11 v2 with the new taskbar and the latest microsoft version germany
I also have the German Win 23H2 (10.0.22631.2506) and even a version higher than the ISO. I cannot confirm the problem, Start11 v2 2.0.0.6 runs smoothly except for the minor bugs mentioned in the forum.
Hi all! I bought Start11 v1, but I didn't use it since I was not satisfied because of some lacks and problems.
Now, Start11 v2 works very well and looks pretty nice, but I want to report a problem related to the animations.
I noticed this problem with Start11 v1. I notice it continues / persists also with Start11 v2 and it seems no one saw it.
The taskbar items has a really bad flickering animation during restore and minimizing state by mouse clicking.
I recorded a video at 60 FPS, but my laptop screen is 144 FPS, so the flickering is more bad on 144 FPS.
On the first video part I presented the good animation that only exists because the mouse cursor is not involved in this action, then, secondly the bad flickering caused by mouse click on the item from taskbar.

I suspect thats being caused by the mouse state changing. We will investigate.
Many thanks, Neil Banfield for taking in account this problem. I would like to add another thing. It's a suggestion for the start menu. If the mouse cursor is over the edge on the menu, the user can resize the menu. This is a cool idea, but sometimes I accidentally resized it. I recommend to switch / hide this feature by lock menu / unclock menu.
Did you take my problem too ?
First of all, it's awesome to have the Taskbar pins / Pin folder menu option! That's exactly what I've been missing since migrating to Win11.
I upgraded to v2 last night after reading this feature was part of the release and started trying this feature out today and it works great!
Only thing I'm noticing is there is no 'Right-Click' menu for the created folder icons in the Taskbar. Would be great to change the icon or add a name to keep track of what the various folder menus are.
Thanks!
