Hi,
Using v2.0 Beta 1.02.
Not sure I understand Filtered folders. I created a filtered folder as a test with "PNG" as Include Regex Rule. Added the filtered folder to a group. And I get all sub-folders (I would expect not to get them) and a file which doesn't have png in its name...See https://app.screencast.com/xWPzzxULxd5S2

What is the full path for the folder you are using?
Aah, it does include "PNG". So the filter on the path not only the name of the file...
I think we may need to tweak that. Subfolder could be used as part of the filter perhaps but I think full path shouldn't
Agreed. I actually thought it would display all the (filtered) files under subfolders. In other words, in this case, all the PNG files in the folder and subfolders.
I don't understand what it does, what it is intended for, and how to use it. Hope some documentation will be added soon.
I Like the idea of being able to use subfolder filters.
I just tried to setup a filter for some videos in "Videos" folder and was trying, .*\(m4a|mp4)
The results were kind of surprising. A max depth would probably be useful and since you already pick the base folder for the pin, a full path would probably not be necessary.
thanks
Can we please get some documentation on Filtered Folders?
It doesn't make any sense... sometimes it lists just top level folders, and sometimes it just lists files in all subfolders
Regex (Regular Expression) has a fairly complex syntax and not easily understandable by the average user. Try searching on the internet for Regex and you will find a wealth of articles and How-to tutorials on the subject.
