What can I do to speed up the repair of ships? Do I put them in orbit of a planet, park them at space station or attempt repairs in situ?
These numbers are from GalCiv3.
Repair rates per turn:
Shipyard 4
Planet 5
Starbase 6
You can research a fleet repair module that stacks but you have to research battleships first.
I acknowledge the stats are from GC3: Hmm, so Deep Space9 repairs faster (6) than a dedicated shipyard (4)? Or do the numbers mean something other then 'hit points per turn'?
I think invoking the repair command is '4' vs '1' just running around.
Do you/anyone know if these stack with the repair command somehow, like it is assumed if a ship is in a yard it is repairing so 4 for the command plus 4 for the yard =8 points base?
Also if you are in repair mode out in space or such are there penalties if you get attacked?
According to the XMLs files, the repair rates in GC4 Supernova as of this post are:
Planet: 3 (from global defs)
Shipyard: 3 (global defs says 4)
Starbase: 5 (global def says 4)
Thank you.
Research "Orbital Repair" which unlocks Caretaker Ships that can repair damage each turn when attached to a fleet.
