Stardock Release: 06/06/2023Steam Release: 06/07/2023 (Planned)
WinKey handling on the very latest Win11 builds improved so if the user is using Explorer patcher or using the right WinKey it will now support those. Note: Elevated apps in the foreground are currently not supported. Further investigation is required to support these.
A further tweak to how the touch taskbar is detected on Win11
Additional fixes that we believe address some of the reported compatibility issues with the KB5026446 Windows 11 release.
Has a tweak for the taskbar shifting issue when on Win11 with touch-capable hardware. It should, at the very least, fix the issue with having an external monitor and turning it off and going back to internal when DPIs didn't match
This fixes 6309 (Right-click of sound on TB opens up on 2nd monitor).
Fixes taskbar issue when switching primary monitor by unplugging monitors.
Known issues
While we appreciate all feedback, please remember that we offer no official support for beta \ preview \ developer channel versions of Windows. If you report issues while in any of those early release channels, you should not expect them to be addressed unless it still exists in a retail version of Windows.

Start11 1.45 Beta is working much better than 1.44 with my three monitor setup. All windows are returning to the expected place after sleep. Thanks, devs.
My laptop is hooked up to an external monitor. The taskbar still has sizing issues when it wakes from sleep.
Winver: Windows 11 22H2 (22621.1702)
Start11 Ver: 1.45
Just to rule out any issues with the install, can you uninstall Start11, REBOOT (important) and reinstall Start11 1.45 and see if the problem continues.
I did a full reinstall with reboot and it is still happening.
Let me know if you need more info to isolate the bug, etc.
It was happening with 1.44 too. I was hoping the beta would fix.
BTW...I'm on a Surface Pro 8 connected to a Caldigit TS4 dock via USB-C connected to a Newline Flex 27" touchscreen monitor (also via USB-C).
In that case your issue is different to what was fixed. The fix was for computers which were not tablets which were incorrectly enabling the touch taskbar support.
Is your problem only on the primary display?
Hi, just installed Start 11 1.45 together with Windows 11 22H2 and Displayfusion 10.1 Beta 3 (and 4 monitors). Unfortunately i have a problem with the taskbar (also tried with 1.44 and non beta of DisplayFusion).
My main goal for buying Start 11 was the option to never combine the taskbar buttons. However when I combine these 3 software products, my taskbar is on top of my applications. So I cannot read or reach the bottom part of the application (see below). I reached out to DisplayFusion and they are not able to help and pointing me to Start11.
Is there anyway to fix this? I never had this problem on Windows 10 and before Windows 11 22H2.
Does the issue happen without displayfusion installed at all?
It's only happening when I have the laptop hooked up to the external display. It works correctly when it's in normal "laptop mode."
Also, it works correctly when I first turn on the computer. The issue is when it wakes from sleep. I have to restart the explorer in taskbar settings to get it to look normal.
So is this connected to both monitors at once, or is the external display set to disable the internal display?
No. The laptop is closed. It's hooked up via usb-c to a hub and then to the monitor.
I'm happy to jump on a Zoom call to show you if it will help.
Hello,
i hoped the beta will fix it but not. Since the latest MS patch KB502644 yesterday, the windows key is opening the orignal start menu only. Any workarround? I can open the Start11 menu only using clicki-clicki.

What version number is your Windows 11 exactly?
No matter what I try I can't get menu transparency to work, though the taskbar transparency works fine. I installed Start11 1.4.4 fist, and when it didn't work I just tried the 1.4.5 beta.
This is on a raw Windows 11 Professional Version 22H2 (OS Build 22621.1778) install, with no other apps installed except Start11. Hopefully this can be fixed, as the Windows 11 GUI is an atrocity. Even if Start11 works it's going to be bad, but a functional Start11 would certainly help.
Don't get me wrong though, I'm a retired R&D hardware/firmware/software engineer and understand that Windows 11 is still in an Alpha state, so I don't blame the Start11 developers for having difficulties with the never ending Windows 11 changes.

Thank you
I've unistalled and installed the beta again and it is wokring but sometimes it still opens the standard menu.

I've posted a workaround a few posts up:https://forums.stardock.com/520306/page/1/#3891247
Latest WIndows 11 updates prevent Start11 (v1.44) from displaying the Start11 menù in WIndows7 style.
Whatever style I choose, it's always the painful Windows11... anyone else experienced this?Baio
I noticed that with Start11 1.4.5.1 beta (and earlier), The Windows key still only brings up Start11 on the Desktop, during gaming or when an application like Steam is in Focus, it now always brings up the Windows 11 Start Menu, no matter which settings I set in Start11 with the latest Windows 11 Update. Before this Windows 11 Update, the Windows key brought up the Start 11 menu no matter what. Is it possible to restore the previous Start11 behavior?
After a deeper investigation, I discovered that Start11 was not the problem... latest updates definitely broke WinStep NextStart.

Do you perhaps have UAC disabled or Steam set to launch elevated?
I'm using the "Modern Style", Start11 menu by the way.
Update: I changed UAC to the second lowest level "Notify me only when apps...", and the problem is still the same - it didn't make a difference in Start menu behavior, so it doesn't seem to be related to UAC.
