Screenshots and videos are very helpful. Videos can be uploaded to a cloud drive service (GoogleDrive, DropBox, OneDrive, YouTube), with a shared link included in your post. Images can be copied and pasted directly into a post.
If there are specific apps that the app does not work (well) with, please note what apps and their exact versions. If any app is not common, a link to a trial version would be appreciated.
Thank you for your interest and any time you put into making Start11 a better product.

I am afraid we had to remove the link as we cannot have links to our files as we do not control what they point to. Whilst it might be what it says today, it could be changed in the future.
I have a feeling the 1.41 works because it doesn't support blur on the taskbar on the version of Windows you are using.
Your issue is especially odd as that looks like Windows thinks your taskbar needs to be able to work as a touch version so has added the space for the extra large one but this should only ever happen on the primary monitor. Secondary monitors should never enable that.
Does the problem continue if you temporarily switch to a single monitor?
Also what is your hardware exactly?
Tried 1.4.5 beta and it did not fix my problem. It's even worse. I'll try 1.4.1.
Worse how?
I understand!
If this is the case, then it seams as Start11 is not able to recognize that my primary Monitor is an external one. (at least at home, using my Razer eGPU case) I am not even using the integrated Touchscreen of my notebook at all! The lit is closed all the time.
Yes! it doesn't matter how many Screens I have connected, or if the external GPU is connected or not.

external GPU: MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ti VENTUS 2X OCV1 8GB in Razer Core X Chroma (Thunderbold 3)
Storage: WD Blue SN570 1TB (NVMe SSD 3500 MB/s)

VR Display: MEDION ERAZER X1000 MR Glasses (1440 x 1440 Resolution per Eye)
Taskbars on Top and displayed for both laptop and external monitor.
Issue occurs only on external monitor. Laptop monitor looks fine.
Buttons are set to never combined and appear correctly.
With explorer restart issue is corrected.
Which monitor is set to be primary?
The external one is main display.
I am hopeful updating to the 1.45 beta may resolve this for you.
The start button and tray icons are misaligned even more when the computer wakes up from sleep.
Could you post a screenshot please as that shouldn't even be possible so I am scratching my head here trying to explain that.
Hi I have
windows 11 Home
22H2 build 22621.1702
Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22641.1000.0
Start 11 version 1.44
For me, transparency effects are working on the task bar but not on the WIndows Menu.
I am using Win 10 style.
Automatic colour is off.
Transparency effects are set to 85%
Custom menu background is off.
Could you post a screenshot please?
I am posting the screenshot I posted earlier for 1.4.4. It's the same for 1.4.5 but the start button and tray icons are even higher up on 1.4.5(or at least they appear to be, it's hard to tell).
I can't take a screenshot for 1.4.5 now as I am working on this computer but it's exactly the same behavior as 1.4.4.
This happens only when the computer wakes up from sleep and apparently only on my primary monitor(the GPU chooses monitor priority depending on which display port you connect to.). If I turn off my primary monitor and use my secondary monitor, this issue does not happen.
If I turn off and disconnect the secondary monitor and only use my primary this issue happens every time my PC wakes up from sleep.
Both monitors run on 1920x1080 rez, primary on 144hz, secondary on 60hz. 100% scale.
I am using small taskbar. I also had this problem in the past after MS updated their UI but for 1.4.3 things where stable. If there are no relevant changes between 1.4.3, 1.4.4 and 1.4.5 maybe Microsoft did some changes in the latest updates. I'm currently running on build 22621.1702 (up to date updates, regular win build not insider or canary builds)
Please post your setting. Here is what it look like on my system.
Thank you,

1.45 beta seems to have fixed the problem for me, thanks!

Start 11 ver. 1,44
I get the following menu background inconsistently,
Why the oblique arrow and question marks?
This doesn't happen every boot. Don't know why it occurs.
Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. Try this, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately after uninstall. Re-download Start11 from your account page. Reinstall it. Reboot and retest. Report back.
ThanksBasj,Stardock Community Assistant.
I finally figured out what is causing this. It's my 4K tv. When it's turned off, everything is ok but when the tv is on and I wake up the computer from sleep I'm getting that alignment issue.
It's weird as 1.4.3 worked fine. 1.4.4 and 1.4.5 don't. I've also seen other posts describing the same issue.
I went back to 1.4.2. Problem solved.
Can you please share the 1.4.2 installer? This issue drives me insane. Thanks
At startup, the taskbar icons on the right are offset downward (see above). The Start11 software is configured to center the icons vertically. Switching the taskbar Auto Hide feature on and off (in Windows Settings) corrects the problem, but only until the next restart. The current Windows 11 Home build is 22621.1702.
1.45 Beta is holding. I've not been able to reproduce the issue.
Start11_1.4.5.0-j307 fixes the issue
All,
As Start11 1.45 has been in beta for some time (and should emerge soon), I am going to close this thread.
As always, thanks for your feedback.
