Screenshots and videos are very helpful. Videos can be uploaded to a cloud drive service (GoogleDrive, DropBox, OneDrive, YouTube), with a shared link included in your post. Images can be copied and pasted directly into a post.
If there are specific apps that the app does not work (well) with, please note what apps and their exact versions. If any app is not common, a link to a trial version would be appreciated.
Thank you for your interest and any time you put into making Fences a better product.

The layout snapshot should be un-touch by the purge. But, to be sure, you can use this guide to backup your layout snapshot: https://forums.stardock.com/486084/fences-support-faq#backupsnapshots

My BIGGEST annoyance is the fact that the show labels option does not follow the never logic for portals when it does for normal fences. I much prefer portals but I hate the labels flying up everytime I go over one.
OK, did a reinstall, but nothing changed, not possible to get into settings.
Hi
I try this without resolve the problem.

Hi all! When you set a user language, for example English, the configuration does not start after closing.
After deleting this "UserLang" value in the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Fences" path in the registry, the configuration is started again.
I stay with 4.0.7.2 until last version is updated without problem 😉
Yes, that works....thanks

Hello
Really appreciate your report on this. I have forwarded your finding to Stardock Support Team for their review. We appreciate your feedback and patience.
Thank you.
Use the solution provided on the 32nd floor:
【After deleting this "UserLang" value in the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Fences" path in the registry, the configuration is started again.】
Use the system language, do not set the language manually.
Thanks that fixed it for me too! Although I had to start Fences via the Start Menu, it still wouldn't come up via the right-click menu.
NOTE:
There may be an issue with this release relating to changing the language in Fences itself. If you change it there, the Fences configuration will not open again.
Current fix, uninstall Fences (selecting the option to remove settings) and then reinstall. Do not select the language in app again.
If you are familiar with the Windows Registry, I fix can also be done from there. Delete the key "UserLang" from HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Fences
Also, you can run this file (as administrator) to accomplish the above method. https://cdn.stardock.us/support/uploads/RemoveUserlang.zip
It appears that it will function correctly when setting the language via Windows

Known issue with Object Desktop Manager. Quick note, ODM is not needed as the individual apps will notify you of an update
Hi! I don't think admin rights are required to remove values from an HKCU root key.

This does not happen with 4.07 it seems that this is a problem of 4.10, hope the development team will fix it soon. It made my experience bad
From the post above your last one....
Update: We believe we have found the cause of the issue. Please install this build and report if it resolves it for you:https://cdn.stardock.us/support/uploads/Fences4_4.1.1.0-j110-Setup.exe
I have uninstalled and reinstalled it. Things don't work with context menu. Please check again. Or I'll take a response video
In file explorer browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Fences
Right click on Fences.exe
Select Details
Send a screen shot of that display
Looks like the option to lock the fences context menu is also disabled
