Is Icon Packager 10 is compatible with Windows 11?
FYI: Applying the default Windows icons with IconPackager may break a lot of icon associations, simply because they do not have the same address as in Windows 10 for which the app was created. Same thing if you uninstall IconPackager in Windows 11, because the default Windows 10 icons settings will be applied in the uninstallation process, and they are not the same in Windows 11. A lot of "blank" icons will also appear. But as you already should know, using an app not spesifically expressed compatible with said system version can or at best will cause error(s).
so they said not to use iconpackager at all? so then whats the point of using windowblinds or start11 or any other stardock application is we dont have iconpackager to go with them all and finalize the look we are trying to achieve? without iconpackager there is no point... if they dont understand that, then thats crazyness...
literally the first thing i do, when im looking at a new skin to download and apply or when im about to purchase amaster skin, before i even download or purchase the skins i first go through my iconpackager app and make sure i have an iconpackage skin that will match the windowblinds skin, literally thats the FIRST thing i do, and usually ill always find either a super match or a good enough match.. then ill buy the skin.. if not, then i just pass on the skin all together no matter how much i may like the skin, because the skin will look stupid with the basic windows icons.. so whats the point of wasting money on a master skin lol.. yall dont understand that? or yall dont do the same exact thing? i would think everyone does this..
As long as you go into something knowing that you've been warned and accept the results without whining or blaming someone else...then, as Macbeth said, "Lay on, Macduff!".
Any News so far for an Update?
Hello,Sorry, no news on this one yet.
ThanksBasj,Stardock Community Assistant.
I remember the very last time Wincustomize and Stardock held the very last skinning competition. I was all fired up and excited about completing an IconPackage that I had been working on to enter into the competition. Near to the date of the competition , they announced that the IconPackager category was not going to be included in the competition this time. After that, is when things changed for me here. I never genuinely felt the same. It seems they feel that IconPackager is now just a remanent of a bygone era. I do know that it made me feel that way as well.
