Detailed steps to recreate the issue seen
Screenshots and videos are very helpful. Videos can be uploaded to a cloud drive service (GoogleDrive, DropBox, OneDrive, YouTube), with a shared link included in your post. Images can be copied and pasted directly into a post.
If there are specific apps that the app does not work (well) with, please note what apps and their exact versions. If any app is not common, a link to a trial version would be appreciated.
Thank you for your interest and any time you put into making Start11 a better product.
What I noticed after the update that after I wake my PC from sleep the taskbar icons and start button are not centered again(taskbar looks like 1.3.9 did after the update). If I restart explorer from Start11 it reverts to normal.
This issue appears only when waking up from sleep. At reboot it's ok(though the taskbar loads as large taskbar and then quickly reverts to small - I'm running small taskbar btw).
I'm running 1.4.2 but does the same with 1.4.11.
I would also like to mention that even though I have multiple monitors this issue happens when using just my primary monitor(the others are physically disconnected).
What is happening with my reported issue?
From the information provided, its unclear what may be causing your issue, Stevie. However, for us to examine any crashing issue, we need dumps from it. This is that process:

Thanks for the report and time.

See reply #62.
Unfortunately that's not a DMP file which is what we need.
The information from the event log lacks the call stack which is critical when the crash is not in any of our code directly.
You asked for any information from Event Viewer. I'll get a dump file as soon as I can.
You are correct, that resolved the issue. Thanks!
The win11system cannot use the start menu of another style
I have 45 Fences and Cannot Scroll down the menu when I choose to Insert Fence on my Start 11 Menu. It only shows 35 of my 45 fences with no option to scroll down to select the Newly Created Fence I want. I am on Windows 10 Pro.
SAME
Can no longer access and open icons when placed in hidden icon box on the taskbar. Have installed 1.41 and win11 cum update 22913.
Noticed that Win 11 setting/personalization/taskbar has added a new button (hidden icon menu) under the "other systems tray icons menu.
Used to be able to access and open all icon under the hidden tray...please advise.
Thanks

I am not sure this is anything to do with Start11?
The Microsoft update changed how the taskbar tray area worked but this isn't anything to do with Start11 itself and it shouldn't interfere with it in any way. A quick check here isn't showing any problems with it and any icons hidden in the tray popup seem to work just fine.
Are you able to give more information on exactly whats not working?
Set your taskbar search to anything other than SearchBox as a workaround for now or you can update to the 1.42 beta build thats linked in comment 3 I think of this thread.
Thanks for that.
Both stacks show bitdefender near the top of the stack. Is it possible to disable that and see if that makes a difference?
Ok, so I have a mildly annoying issue, not huge, but a little annoying... The taskbar can appear over the top of fullscreened apps.
This is a multimonitor issue - and happens when I fullscreen something on the primary/main monitor, and then click somewhere on another monitor so the fullscreen app loses focus. This issue does not occur if the app in question is being displayed on any of the secondary monitors.
An example of this would be a browser with a fullscreened YouTube:
Not sure honestly if this is a windows thing or a Start11 thing.
Windows 11 22H2. v22621.1413
lol how badly did microsoft f up the taskbar.... wow. and here i thought it was just by trying to "force" a search box on us
ATTENTION DONT DO THIS. YOU WILL KILL A KITTEN IF YOU DO
this is insane now... so i was messing around with winDbg trying to get a debug dump. nothing looked like it was crashing so first thought.. hmm its not working. so attach to kernal blah blah (bcedit -debug on) then restarted a few times. same same. when i switched debug off and restarted windows went into a "applying updates" phase and my heart totaly sank. it started up and i coulda kissed a troll at that point.

went to windows update to see if there were any updates done. last 1 was still the 22h2 f up. but there were 2 .net updates and a KB5023706 (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/march-14-2023-kb5023706-os-build-22621-1413-9d3f2de5-08e7-4462-8fba-d944201f4ae1). did them and restarted. windows starts, then the taskbar goes transparent except for the start button but a few seconds later it all kicks in and i have a small ungrouped applications, quick launch and full sys tray apps again
wtf. i suspect it was the windows updates tho but doesnt make sense unless ms were sneaky and sent out a fix for taskbar as well.
start11 1.4.2.0
Sadly it is still not working for me. Tried version 1.41 with update KB 5022913 and th new released KB5022706 had to uninstall the updates multiple times bbut still the same issue (flickering desktop and no taskbar).
Now tried start all back and it works fine ... i have no idea why but you have clearly the better product and i would like to use start 11. Please find a solution to fix this issue.
How many monitors do you have?
i just went to windows settings/personalization/taskbar and changed search from hide to search icon only and still the same bad behaviour
I found a bug
Windows 11 22621.1413, Start11 v. 1.4.11
After changing the start menu button in Start11, the start menu does not open, it only works when the start11 menu is enabled and used, I will add that after restarting the changed start menu button reacts with the original start menu for a while.
Regards.
on the pc with the issues just one monitor (one 55 inch tv)
Are you running bitdefender?
Also have you previously used explorer patcher?
It would be very helpful if you were willing to try the troubleshooting here to get a DMP file from a crash.
After the 2023-03 Cumulative Update (Version 22H2 OS Build 22621. 1413), my taskbar icons seem very close together, I don't have another screenshot from before, but feels like there's no spacing.
