Somewhere in the last couple of versions there has been a regression in the positioning of taskbar buttons when using windowblinds together with the start11 enhanced taskbar and windows dpi scaling -- see the attached images.
This can be temporarily fixed by toggling the "Vertically center the taskbar buttons" option in start11 and restarting explorer, but the fix does not persist across reboots or skin changes. This only seems to occur when windows dpi scaling is enabled. I believe this is a recent regression which did not occur when using the first public windowblinds 11 beta together with the then-current release of start11.
System info: Win11 22621.1105, AMD FX-6600 with latest drivers, confirmed present on 150% & 200% DPI scalings.

My issue is that when the "show seconds in clock" is ticked in Start11 this does not happen.
If I push the "restart explorer" button in Start11 sometimes the seconds will appear after about 5 minutes.
But then the next time I start windows the seconds are gone again and I must repeat the procedure above.
Does anyone have any solutions to this annoying issue as having seconds on the clock is important to me?
Thanks,
Grant
On the next update any chance you could allow toolbars to be placed on the left hard side of the taskbar where the win 10 start orb would be?
This bug has not been fixed yet:

I use the "Sometimes combine" taskbar option.
It seems to not make full use of the taskbar when there is an application with a lot of instances open, even though there is space on the taskbar for other applications to be expanded.
This example works as expected (for example both Explorer instances expanded):
But when I open the browser and it restores a load of windows (I have about 20 windows open in the red Brave browser icon in the screenshot), I only see one instance of each app on the taskbar, even though there's room to expand other apps (for example both Explorer instances :
In this example, there's plenty of room for both Explorer instances to be uncombined, however they're being combined.
It's not visible here, but there's a ton of space available on the taskbar
This is working correctly.
If there is insufficient room to show all the buttons then it will collapse those with more than one window. I believe this is the same as Windows 10.
Windows 10 works the way I described, using a combination of collapsed and expanded icons to fill the available space on the taskbar.
Here's an example from my Windows 10 PC:
Here my Explorer and Visual Studio instances are expanded, but the Brave browser is collapsed since it has too many windows to fit. This makes it possible to easily switch windows for at least some of the applications by making full use of the taskbar space.
I understand this may be a feature request rather than a bug, but I think this behaviour is more productive

If the start menu has focus, for example, like when you have clicked the search box, but you then do something that would raise a UAC prompt, like have UAC settings at their highest and try to get task manager up, the UAC prompt is sent to the taskbar, and the taskbar becomes unclickable. Alt-tabbing to the UAC prompt permits UAC interaction and once the prompt is dealt with, the task bar is usable once again. I did not have any issues with task UAC prior to installing Start11.
Hi James,
Can you give me an idea of the steps you were taking so that I can attempt to recreate the issue. What were you doing that triggered the UAC prompt?
Thanks!

I was interacting with the Start11 Start Menu when I right clicked the taskbar to bring up Task Manager - it doesn't really matter what you do with it, IME. In windows default, no matter what, Task Manager UAC prompt takes the screen, so I cannot really say if this is default or not for certain, but Start11 makes it consistent.
Do you know of a consistent way to get UCA prompts to fire off (I don't mind installing something that throws off additional prompts during install, just for testing purposes) and in a way where they get sent to the taskbar?
If you turn off UAC (have it off by default), I expect this is not an issue?
Correct - because the entire issue is around UAC behavior. So, no UAC means no issue. I like keeping UAC maxed though, but even if I turn it down to the more reasonable Default (3 out of 4) setting, all that will do it remove the easiest way of getting this problem to pop up (which is good for testing).
Hello
There's a minor bug I noted a long time ago (so, this didn't start with 1.36), and decided to report now.
Basically, if you press the Win key to expand the start menu, then press again (which will close the start menu), the taskbar itself "blinks" for a split second every time.
I can see this on 2 machines using W11 (release build), regardless if the taskbar is at the top or bottom.
It's a minor thing but maybe it's a simple fix.

Do you mean it is showing something but not the correct information when you right click?
