Loving that "Sins" feeling
Totally spun me out when I realised that the planets were orbiting the star. Brings in a whole new strategy aspect. Can't just have an arm of planets in the backwaters purely research focused. Do agree with some of the other feedback that's been submitted, there needs to be a better visual cue. I initially thought that the vector indicators were undiscovered star lanes. also, there does need to be something indicating when a star lane is eventually going to be broken. I'm talking before it starts flashing. As an added bonus, what about new ones that will form?
I generally had problems getting my fleets to jump in a timely manner. More often than not I'd have to select a portion of the fleet and tell them to jump. Then once they started, the others followed, although sometimes it took more than one group to lead the way. If there is something preventing them from jumping, it would be nice to see some kind of indication of what they're waiting for.
I like the new Markets, but they do need to surface earlier. Maybe from a random broadcast or something.
Would prefer to see the old "tree" display in the research. Gives more feedback on the path to reach a particular item.
The more you play the easier it gets. I did not like the research setup until I played a few games. I think they are going in the right direction.
Try holding ctrl when telling them to jump somewhere. This will get the ships to jump when they are ready, not when the fleet is ready.
