As said in the title this beta needs serious work when you have the latest beta preview of windows 11. (22622.601 ni_release)
The start menu using Windows 11 style has lost a lot of its first page icons and nothing can be added using Add to Start 11.

Dang Microsoft always having to mess with their UI. You guys could always roll back to the previous build until this issue gets resolved. Settings>system>recovery>go back
I would also like to note that only the release channel truly has 22H2. The beta channel is an update after 22H2 that they are still playing around with
Do you know which icons were missing?
Are you able to export the contents of HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Start8\Start8.ini\GroupContents if you were using a Win10 style menu or HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Stardock\Start8\Start8.ini\GroupContents11 if you were using a Win11 style menu and host the file somewhere and send me a private message with a link to it please along with information on which ones went missing.

Hmmm. Using the 1.26 Beta with Windows 10 menus and the release version of Window 11 22H2. Bunch of icons just disappeared from the start menu and you can't add them back. Nothing happens. Shame on me for installing the Beta but wanted to mention.
I think I might have figured something out. With 1.26 Beta and Win 22H2, the Windows 10 menu type dropped all the icons from ProgramData/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu/Programs and you can't pin them again. The icons in AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Windows/Start Menu/Programs are fine--they did not disappear and you can add others.
Seems like a problem just for the icons in the ProgramData directory. Make sense?

Well thats exactly what I did and the icons still did not come back, pinning to Start11 menu did work though.
1.27 Beta works absolutely fine though, even on the latest preview version, so glad that I mentioned it and well done Stardock for releasing the 1.27 Beta so quickly!
