Welcome friends!
Stardock and Ironclad Games are very happy you're here. For more than a decade we've been asked, "Sins 2 when?" We're happy to finally tell you - it's coming! So feed your pink space ponies and power-up your phase engines because we have a lot in store!
Where are we starting? If you've pre-ordered the game, we'll be starting with a single-player engine test in Fall 2022 featuring TEC Loyalists. Things won't be content complete, but you'll be able to experience the new gameplay systems, refinements, abilities and more. We think you'll find gameplay in Sins II to be even deeper than the original; allowing you to discover new strategies and ways to play.
What won't it have initially?
So... where are we going? We hope to have the TEC Rebels in your hands this winter for starters, along with more art, sound, music and more. Multiplayer will be coming in early 2023 and then onto Vasari!
As we get closer to the playable build, you'll see us talk a lot more about what to expect, so stay tuned! Feel free to post on our official forums here or on our Discord server to say hi.
The next year is going to be incredible!

The game is coming out on the epic games store, will it be sold on steam (I personally would pre-order there quickly)?
Not until sometime after final release.
I am just so excited that you are building this game. Would I have preferred Steam, sure? But we have all waited too long for this to be this upset over the platform. Pre-ordered, can't wait to try it out. #releasethetitans
This is phenomenal news! Thank you for the announcement and I sincerely thank Stardock and its devs for the continued support of Sins 1 - Rebellion. Also shoutouts to a great community of modders as silent heroes and for the open tools they’ll have to keep going. So glad to have this game and series in my life. The Maw hungers!
Just wow. I was constantly searching the web and crawling your page for the sake of new Soase stuff (I started some new games only a week ago). And today there was this awesome news.
I appreciate this so much. You guys did an great job the last year's with spending your time to all the Updates and I am sure you will continue doing great things the next year's.
Am I right, that it's more of a reboot? Anyway I'm excited for all the new mechanics, style and gameplay in general. As I said more than once I would have bought a 64bit rerelease. So this is definitely way better.
Just fix that EGS thing fast enough and i'm in. I surely will wait for it!
Thx
Looking forward to see what the future holds after all this time!
I do not care the platform is going to be released on, I just preordered and if it come on steam later, I will get it again. This is really awesome news, try not to make this game cartoony PLEASE! just keep the same atmosphere.
Early access to the game is supposed to be for better bug detection and therefore better game development, sadly this won't reach its peak due to it being an EPIC exclusive and oddly enough it's the most hated store in the world.
Bad decision on Stardock's part - they could have achieved more.
ok we get it, fanboys hate epic, bigdeal. either buy the game or go away, if you dont like epic go and find an echo chamber and tell someone who cares, im getting tired of all the epic hate
it's not about anger at epic, for example, I replenish the collection with my favorite games and it will be much more convenient if they are all in 1 place, and not in a bunch of different stores. It just so happened that the previous part of the game came out in the incentive and bought it from me in the incentive. that's why I'm waiting for this game in the incentive, so that everything is in 1 place + the workshop is convenien
heh heh
backs out of the room slowly...
It’s not about disliking EGS or liking them less than Valve, it’s about disliking their customer unfriendly business methods and the poor quality of the platform from the customer perspective.
Why do I feel like it's christmas already?
Do you guys have a schedule for the dev journals, ie bi monthly? every week? once a month?
Or is it just when you feel like sharing something?
I am happy to see all the things you have coming for us, likely willing to buy it on both epic(already did) and steam.
I'm probably looking at once a month right now, so expect the next one in October.
It's an extra burden on development, but I would think that more often than monthly (especially in the coming weeks until EA) would really help engagement. If there's a Youtuber that can pick up on the journals, or even create a new Youtuber around the game (eventually), that's only helping you. It can just be simple and laying out some design hurdles, some info on stuff that's going to be in the EA, some of the questions you've answered here on the forums and on the discord; anything to drive up engagement honestly.
Its October, where is my Dev Journal no.2?
if i am not wrong, I saw on discord devs said that we wont see anything until early access releasethey work hard to meet the deadline
I'm working on it. It's going to be a bit, I'm doing a lot of art-type stuff which is not my strong suit.
Great. Cant wait. And yeah, definitely show us more art stuff, unit pictures.
Happy to hear that!
sooooo??? Where?
Soon - sorry, we want to add in more lore elements to it, but we're also trying to get everything ready for early access later this month. It's coming though!
I think a lot of this Epic hate is misplaced. There are many reasons why games decide to go the Epic Games route.Frankly, game devs gotta eat. For one, being sought after as an Epic Games exclusive is more money in their pockets to pay their devs and perhaps create better content. Also, people forget Epic actually gives devs MORE money per purchase than Steam. Epic takes 12% whereas Steam takes 30%. All in all, Epic Games is a much better choice for MANY devs than to go to steam. Yes, Epic's store needs improvement, but it's also still a new store. Changes will happen over time. There are many applications you can use (like Playnite) to combine store libraries into one location.Just want to clarify I'm not saying it's necessarily a good CONSUMER practice to be on one store and not other stores, but I'm just laying out the many beneficial reasons WHY devs choose Epic over others. To be honest, I'd prefer devs choose what they want, and I'll follow. If the game is good, I'm satisfied there!Regarding Sins 2, am really excited. I'm a fairly new sins player but it's been the one RTS I've been able to get a grasp on. I love the economy system, and love how it's an RTS with 4x elements sprinkled in. I can't wait to see how this new game differs and how it'll improve on an already solid game!
