Title says it all sometimes the start menu just doesn't come up at all when start is pressed. This is very bad and new.
Maybe this can be looked into?
I did notice this when I gave enhanced taskbar another try, I guess it still has serious bugs...

Tried Reinstall with normal taskbar it got many times worse...I miss the real windows 10 start menu...perfection
Also noticed yet another issue, with the start 10 menu if "force icons to use more of the tile" is active only the top group of tiles are large if a second group of tiles is set up, they are small. I can drag pinned tiles from the top group to the bottom group and watch them get small and large, easily reproduceable.
EDIT: This delay seems related to mult monitor setups. I made my secondary screen my primary screen and have no delay issues on that screen. Swapped back and now there is a delay again. ALSO this delay is totally gone if I use the win key instead of my mouse. Tried multiple mice and my mouse is not the issue.
EDIT 2: It's a software conflict between start 11 ver 1.25 and TeamViewer. I reinstalled windows 11 for fun and installed start11 and had no issues till I installed TeamViewer. Start 11 ver 1.2 has no issues Luckly, I still had it....
EDIT 3: so apparently, it's not TeamViewer but the devs are aware of the issue.

I was editing my first post, re read it if there's something new that would be helpful. I click the start button and the menu doesn't come up always. I press the start key and it does. Not much else besides that.

Reboot and ReInstall the latest version 1.25 Reboot again , test and report back please .
Already tried that, it threw up lots of errors so im not sure if that even works with start 11. No difference either way.
From what I read, this usually cause by conflict with other application installed that also handling StartMenu and Taskbars. Do you have any of them installed. If you do, please uninstall them all and try again.

No I have nothing else that interfere with the start menu. I did not have these issues with ver 1.24.
From my testing this appears to be a multi monitor issue. If my primary monitor is on the right and I have a screen on the left, my open sticky notes that I have on that left monitor behave like I'm clicking in them i can even see the cursor flashing as if I'm typing something when I click start. If I make my primary monitor the left monitor then I can click on the start button and it works just fine every time.
Everything was fine then something broke with the version 1.25.
Just as a test, if you close "Sticky notes" does the issue still happening?
Yes, Sticky notes simply reacts like the mouse is in that region. Although I have just discovered its far worse with edge opened and focused. Actually, any window opened and focused makes it worse.
EDIT: after restart with notes off it was much better but still happens till, I opened edge then the issue got worse. Odd.

Well, it is better in a clean boot environment on a new admin account but still not perfect. It seems edge is a common factor in it not working as I can click start 10+ times and the menu doesn't open. Start Key opens it fine. Something broke between 1.24 and 1.25 had no issues before.
EDIT: Seems the same very bad behavior happens with brave too. Again, start key is flawless. Tried all the different start11 menus and even centered the start button no change.

I have pro, I installed sandbox but start11 doesn't even start up in the sandbox...after install when start11 is supposed to load up nothing comes up. Starting it up manually dose nothing. Under services it says the start11 service is running.
however, I do have VMware Workstation Pro with a near stock windows 10 install.

500 years later......Also, can confirm things get bad once a window is maximized and focused then I try to open the start menu. Doing this I can click start button up to 10 times before the menu pops up. On just the desktop its basically flawless. Using win key its flawless regardless so it's a click command not registering properly.

Well, I got bored and reinstalled windows 11 and so far with minimal drivers installed only it works fine no matter what I do. I'll try to keep track of what breaks it if it does break but I hope it's good. Happy to see it working as it should. 😊
EDIT: Its Team Viewer that's conflicting with start 11. I've been installing things 1 by 1 and when I got to team viewer, I started to have issues. Now its unusable again I click start and the menu opens for a microsecond then closes. 😞
EDIT 2: turns out I still have ver 1.2 of start 11 and everything's fine with that. Can I be sent start11 ver 1.24 to see if everything is fine to that point and to confirm that 1.25 is where things broke?
