I've been suffering this when using Msft Excel with Groupy being enabled, it's not persistent but quite frequently happened, which make it kinda annoying, why ? because i work with big size excel files which need times to be opened, I used to fix it with closing and reopening excel windows so the Printer Choosing Dialog will work after that.
But recently i just found out that disabling Groupy fixed the "unable to choose other printer", more detailed just see my video attachment.
The issue i've experienced is with any Windows version from Windows 10 20H2 to Windows 11 21H2 (Insider) and any version of Msft Office
Currently i'm on Windows 11 (Build 22622.436)

Hello,Sorry to hear you are having issues. Does the issue goes away is you set not to have Excel show groupy tab when open?
ThanksBasj,Stardock Community Assistant.
I also have this issue with Excel. I have always thought it was just a bug with Excel. I already had Excel added to the "Application exclusions," so that doesn't seem to help. I will test this theory and report back.
Windows 10 build 19044.1862; Groupy ver. 1.5
After testing, I can confirm that Groupy is indeed causing the inability to change printers in Excel.
I opened Groupy and turned it off. I then opened an Excel spreadsheet that I knew would require changing the printer from the default to my wide format printer. I was able to change the printer in the print dialog box without issue.
I opened Groupy and turned it back on. I then opened another Excel spreadsheet which would require changing the printer and it would not work until I closed Excel and reopened the spreadsheet.
This is very strange! As I said, I have Excel in the "Application exclusions."
Thank you, I have forward your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

I wanted to add that this issue is not affecting other Office 365 apps. I have tested Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Outlook.
This is a great find! How did you figure this out? I have been dealing with this issue for at least a year or two.
first i just have thought maybe other programs or addins is affecting this, then i tried fresh install windows and only ms office and groupy, and TADA!!!, that's how i found that groupy is the the one that affecting this.
yep me too, only Excel
Okay, to summarize:
* Groupy 1.5 seems to be affecting the Microsoft Excel print dialog preventing changing the printer in the drop down.
* We know this is happening on both Windows 10 build 19044.1862 and Windows 11 (Build 22622.436).
* We know it doesn't matter if Excel is listed in the "Application exclusions."
* We know it doesn't seem to affect Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, or Outlook.
* We know that the issue exists on a fresh install of Windows with only Microsoft Office 365 and Groupy installed.
* We know that this has been an issue for at least a couple of years.
See the VIDEO link in the initial post.
Thanks ahead of time for any fix for this issue.

"Groupy is next in the queue once we have a WB11 beta out there."
This bug appears to have been fixed in Groupy2 Ver. 2 Beta1. Thanks for fixing this nagging bug.
